Should I charge a flat delivery fee or per km?
Updated 5 October 2026
Both work. A flat fee is simple for customers. A first-km charge plus a per-km rate follows your real ride cost.
- Distance bands give a fixed price for each band, and the last band's price applies past it.
- Couriers price by distance too: Borzo says motorbike rates start at Rs 45 plus Rs 8.20 per km.
- The fee can be worked out on road distance, not straight-line distance.
- If most orders are close, a flat fee is easiest. If they vary widely, charge by distance.
Charge for delivery the way that suits you
In Menuthere you set a flat fee, a first-km charge plus a per-km rate, or fixed prices per distance band. The fee is worked out when the customer picks their address.
