Coupang Eats charges restaurants in South Korea 2.0% to 7.8% of the order, depending on the restaurant's monthly sales, plus a delivery fee of 1,900 to 3,400 won an order. Pickup is 6.8%. A 3% payment fee, lower for small businesses, and 10% VAT come on top.

VAT on the commission
Yes. Coupang Eats' commission, delivery fee and payment fee exclude VAT, and 10% VAT is added. A VAT-registered restaurant can usually deduct it.
Delivery fee
1,900 to 3,400 won an order, set by your sales band whichever delivery option the customer picks, plus VAT. Coupang Eats pays regional discounts on it.

Worth knowing
Win-win plan. The tiered rates come from an agreement reached in November 2024 in a council of the delivery apps, restaurant groups, government agencies and public-interest members. Before it, the commission on delivery by the app's riders was 9.8%. Coupang Eats has applied it to every food-delivery store since 1 April 2025.
Proposed cap. Bills before the National Assembly in September 2026 would cap what a delivery app takes in total at 15% of the order: one counts commission, payment fees and ads, another adds the delivery fee. None has passed. The Fair Trade Commission's chair said on 21 September 2026 that the total burden on restaurants should come down.
Pickup carried no commission from its launch in October 2021 until 31 March 2026.
Baemin charges the same tiered rates under the same agreement.
Customer receipts in the Coupang Eats app have shown the commission, payment fee and delivery fee the restaurant pays since 18 February 2025.
