Deliveroo doesn't publish its commission in the UAE; each restaurant's rate is set in its contract. Guides from restaurant-software firms put it at roughly 25% to 35% of the order value, plus a one-time onboarding fee. These figures are approximate.

The rates
Your own agreement with Deliveroo sets your rate. These approximate ranges come from public sources, listed at the foot of the page.

Card processing
Deliveroo doesn't publish a card fee for the UAE, or say whether payment processing is inside the commission. Check your contract.
Onboarding fee
A one-time fee when you sign up, according to Deliverect and Horex. The amount isn't published.
Offers
You fund the discounts you run, and Deliveroo's terms say its fee is still worked out on the undiscounted price. Offers and other marketing tools are priced before VAT and deducted from your payouts.
Rewards
Optional. A customer who orders three times in 30 days gets a credit on their next order above AED 40, AED 30 for Deliveroo Plus members and AED 20 for others, and you fund it.

Figures are estimates from the numbers you enter. Deliveroo agreements differ by plan, location and volume, and platforms change their fees, so your Deliveroo payout statement is the source of truth. Worth knowing
Exclusivity. Ministerial Decision 32 of 2026 limits exclusive deals between delivery apps and restaurants to 12 months and to 10% of an app's restaurants, and a commission discount for exclusivity has to be backed by evidence. It sets no cap on commission.
Dubai. Guidelines issued in September 2025 require 30 days' notice of changes, monthly itemised statements of sales, commissions and deductions, and optional, clearly disclosed marketing fees. The cost of customer subscription programmes can't be unfairly passed on to restaurants.
DoorDash, which bought Deliveroo in 2025, announced in February 2026 that it would close Deliveroo in Qatar. The UAE wasn't affected.
The UAE charges 5% VAT on services. Deliveroo's terms price its marketing tools before VAT but don't say how VAT appears on the commission.
A Deliveroo alternative for your regulars
A delivery app is a good way to be found and an expensive way to serve people who already know you. Give your regulars your own ordering link, and the commission on their orders stays in your business.
