Worth knowing
Price parity ban (FNE). Under settlements with the FNE, Chile's competition prosecutor, approved by the competition tribunal in December 2023, Uber Eats, PedidosYa and Rappi may not stop restaurants from charging lower prices on other apps or on their own channels, and must tell them they can set prices freely. The commitments last at least three years. They set no cap on commission.
In February 2026 the FNE asked the competition tribunal to fine PedidosYa about US$3.8 million, saying its 'Mismo precio que en local' (same price as in store) tag broke the 2023 ban on price parity. PedidosYa denied it in May 2026, calling the tag voluntary; the case is pending.
PedidosYa Chile is not part of Uber's July 2026 deal for Delivery Hero, PedidosYa's parent: it is one of 14 markets being sold to SSW Partners, an investment firm, where Uber Eats already operates.
Uber Eats is the only big app in Chile that publishes its rates: 25% to 29% for delivery and 20% for pickup.
