Uber Eats charges restaurants in the Netherlands 30% of the order when its couriers deliver (33% on orders from Uber One members), 14% when you deliver yourself (12% on Uber One orders) and 14% on pickup. Card processing is included, and 21% VAT is added to the fee.

Included in the commission. Uber Eats lists payment processing in every plan, with no separate card fee.
VAT on the commission
Yes. Uber Eats' Dutch terms say its fees exclude VAT (btw) and the restaurant pays the VAT on top, at the Netherlands' standard rate of 21%. A VAT-registered business can usually deduct it.
Activation fee
€400, once. It covers menu set-up, professional photos, a window sticker, a welcome pack and a training call, and is taken from your revenue over your first 8 weeks, at most €50 a week. Opting out of items lowers it.
Offers and ads
Optional. Fees for offers you run are charged separately, plus VAT.

Worth knowing
Uber Eats works out its percentage on the item price including VAT, so the commission is taken from the VAT-inclusive amount.
The 33% rate on Uber One orders is new: Uber's Dutch pricing page in June 2026 listed 30% for every delivery order.
