On the Swedish App Store, reviews of restaurant apps published by PubQ AB (Sobi, Rice & Noodles, Fratelli Örebro, Compass Group Sverige) from 2021 to 2025 mention several recurring problems: ordering stopped working, card payments or wallet top-ups failed, Apple Pay did not work, and users were logged out. The two most-rated, Sobi and Compass Group Sverige, average about 3 out of 5 (24 and 15 ratings).
Eat@DTU, the canteen app PubQ AB publishes for DTU (Technical University of Denmark), averages about 1.2 out of 5 from 15 ratings on the Danish App Store. Reviews from 2024 to 2026 say payments fail or cannot be selected, and that the app is slow and hard to use. One says the system keeps going down at times.

When PubQ is the better choice.

One back office (My PubQ) runs the branded app, Web Order, kiosks, POS and catering site. A change to a menu, a price or a sold-out item updates every channel at once, and all sales go into the same reports.
Each restaurant's app is published in the App Store and Google Play under its own name. PubQ AB is the listed developer of apps for Sobi and Rice & Noodles in Örebro, Compass Group Sverige, Food & Co DK and Eat@DTU in Denmark, and Amica Suomi and Eduskuntaravintola in Finland.
Web Order needs no app install. Guests scan a table QR code or open a link, pay online, and get an SMS or email when a takeaway order is ready. PubQ says most restaurants go live within a week, and it prints and ships the table QR cards.
Built for lunch rushes: capacity per time slot, prices by employer group, staff cards, invoice billing, prepaid wallets, stamp cards, and selling leftover portions after lunch.

It depends on what you use PubQ for. For your own ordering website and QR table ordering without commission, Menuthere is free to start and $9 a month on Lite.

Yes. Menuthere charges 0% commission on every plan, including the free one (50 orders a month included). Your payment provider's card fee still applies where you take card payments.

Quote only. The current site lists no plans or prices. Restaurants fill in a form or email sales to "talk pricing, custom setups, or book a demo", and custom integrations are priced by complexity. An archived price page from April 2021 listed the POS at 399 SEK a month with unlimited tills, and the branded app and the Express self-service checkout at up to 3 SEK per receipt. A branded app also carried a one-time implementation fee. Those prices may no longer apply. No free plan is listed on either page. Commission: Not published (quote only). Yes. Menuthere's AI imports a menu from a photo, an Instagram post or a Google link, and you can edit every item, size and add-on afterwards.

In India, yes: Razorpay, Cashfree, Easebuzz or OrangePG, set up on Pro. In other countries, not yet: customers pay cash, on delivery or at pickup, and card payments are planned.
