GoFood's standard package in Indonesia is a 20% commission plus Rp1,000 on every order, with VAT (PPN) charged on the fee. GoFood also offers other packages and says each restaurant's commission can differ, so check your partner form.

GoFood doesn't list a separate card fee.
PPN (VAT) on the commission
Yes. GoFood lists VAT among the taxes on its transactions and issues VAT invoices for its fees, and merchant guides say it's worked out on the commission, not the food price. Since January 2025 VAT is 12% on 11/12 of the price, 11% in effect. A VAT-registered business can usually credit it.

Figures are estimates from the numbers you enter. GoFood agreements differ by plan, location and volume, and platforms change their fees, so your GoFood payout statement is the source of truth. Worth knowing
Driver commission cap. Since 1 July 2026 a presidential regulation caps what apps take from motorbike passenger fares at 8%. It covers rides, not the commission restaurants pay.
GoFood moved new restaurants from 12% plus Rp5,000 to 20% plus Rp1,000 an order in March 2021. In 2022 Gojek called 20% plus Rp1,000 its standard package.
GoFood works out its fee on net sales: after any discounts you fund, and before restaurant tax (PB1).
Restaurants set up as companies withhold 2% income tax (PPh 23) from GoFood's fee and can have it reimbursed or offset by GoFood.
A GoFood alternative for your regulars
