Grab doesn't publish its GrabFood commission in Vietnam; each restaurant's service fee is set in its contract. Guides put it at about 25% to 30% of the order, so these figures are approximate. VAT is charged on the fee, and new restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi pay a one-time ₫1.2 million New Merchant Package.

VAT on the commission
Yes. Since November 2023 Grab's contracts state the service fee before VAT, and the VAT appears on Grab's invoices: at 10% in Grab's example, a 25% fee including VAT is 22.72% before it. Guides don't always say which of the two they quote.
New Merchant Package
₫1.2 million including VAT, once, for new GrabFood restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi (since 1 September 2023).
