ONDC doesn't publish a commission: it's a government-backed network rather than an app, and a restaurant pays the fee of the seller app it joins plus the fee of the buyer app each order comes from. These figures are approximate, from public reports: the two fees together come to about 3–7% of the order, plus 18% GST, with delivery charged separately.

The rates
Your own agreement with ONDC sets your rate. These approximate ranges come from public sources, listed at the foot of the page.

Card processing
No source lists a separate card fee. The buyer app takes the customer's payment, and your seller app pays you the order value minus the fees.
GST on the commission
Yes. GST is charged on the seller app's and buyer app's fees, at 18% in Vikra's fee guide, the rate for most services in India. Restaurants on the 5% GST rate can't claim input tax credit, so for most it's a real cost.
Delivery
Charged separately by the delivery company that carries the order, on top of the app fees.
Network fee
Since 2025 ONDC has charged ₹1.50 on each order above ₹250, collected through seller apps.

Figures are estimates from the numbers you enter. ONDC agreements differ by plan, location and volume, and platforms change their fees, so your ONDC payout statement is the source of truth. Worth knowing
magicpin fulfils most ONDC food orders: about 90% of those from buyer apps such as Paytm, Tata Neu and Ola in October 2024. It doesn't publish a standard rate for restaurants; in 2024 it offered new ones zero commission to join.
ONDC cut its monthly cap on incentives from ₹3 crore in July 2024 to about ₹30 lakh by March 2025, and retail orders fell. PhonePe's Pincode left the network in 2024, and Ola paused food delivery in December 2025.
Flipkart is testing a food delivery service, Eat In, built with ONDC; it was open only to its employees in September 2026. Inc42 reported in August 2026 that it planned to charge restaurants 10–11%.
