Is delivering my own orders cheaper than paying a delivery app commission?
Updated 5 October 2026
You pay for the ride, not a share of the bill. A courier like Porter lists a two-wheeler from Rs 48, and the price varies by area. Your own riders cost their wages.
- Porter's base fare covers 1 km and 25 minutes. Road tax and parking are extra.
- Borzo says motorbike rates start at Rs 45 plus Rs 8.20 per km, and vary with demand.
- Add up the ride cost for a typical order and compare it with the commission you pay now.
- You can charge customers a delivery fee to cover some or all of the ride.
Delivery costs you the ride, not a cut
Menuthere takes 0% commission, so a delivery order costs you the ride only. Use your own riders with the riders app and live tracking, or charge a delivery fee by distance.
