Can I change the ready-typed message on my WhatsApp link after printing the QR code?
Updated 5 October 2026
Yes, if your QR code uses a WhatsApp short link. Meta says the ready-typed message tied to a short link can be edited or deleted at any time, so printed codes keep working.
- Short link: the address is a random code. The message lives with Meta, so you can change it later.
- Plain wa.me link: the message sits inside the web address. To change it you must make a new link and reprint.
- Check which kind of link your QR code uses before you print menus or table tents.
- Keep the ready-typed message short, for example "Hi, I want to order".
One printed code, a menu that is always current
Print one QR code for your own Menuthere ordering page. You can update the menu, prices and offers any time, and the printed code keeps working.
