Does Meta business verification give me the blue tick?

No. Verifying your business in Meta Business Suite does not give you a verified badge. The blue tick is separate: Meta Verified on the Business app, or Official Business Account (OBA) status for API numbers.
- Business verification checks your legal name, address, phone and website, and Meta may ask for documents. A decision can take up to 14 working days.
- Meta Verified is a separate paid monthly subscription for the Business app. Subscribing alone does not give the badge; you must complete verification.
- Official Business Account (OBA): the API's blue checkmark. Needs a verified business, 30+ days on the platform, two-step verification and an approved display name.
- The Business app cannot get OBA status. Meta does not grant it to WhatsApp Business app numbers.
- Verification still helps on the API: it is one way to raise a new business's messaging limit from 250 to 2,000.
