Can a WhatsApp message have a button that opens my menu link?
Updated 5 October 2026
Yes. Meta's call-to-action URL messages map a link to a button, so the raw link does not sit in the message text. A label like "Order Now" fits easily.
- Limits: button label up to 20 characters, body up to 1,024, header and footer up to 60 each.
- The button replaces the long web address, so the message looks clean.
- This works on the WhatsApp Business API, not on the free Business app.
- Keep the label to the action, for example "Order Now" or "See menu".
An Order Now button, already set up
On your own WhatsApp number, customers send Hi and get an Order Now button that opens your Menuthere menu already signed in. You do not build the button yourself.
