Deliveroo doesn't publish its commission in the UK: each restaurant's rate is set in its agreement, as a percentage of the order value including VAT, plus VAT. The one rate in its published terms is 35% plus VAT, for restaurants on its own-delivery plan (Marketplace+) while they switch on Deliveroo riders.

The rates
Your own agreement with Deliveroo sets most of your rates. Here is what it does publish in the UK.

Card processing
No separate card fee. Deliveroo's terms pay you the order value minus its fee, the VAT on that fee, and any refunds.
VAT on the commission
Yes. Deliveroo's terms charge its fee plus VAT at the prevailing rate, which is 20% in the UK. A VAT-registered restaurant can usually reclaim it.
Joining fee
Once, and it depends on whether you use your own device or lease a Deliveroo tablet. Deliveroo shows the amount during sign-up.
Set-up package
Normally £200 plus VAT for a tablet and printer, set-up, menu creation and 15 photos, according to Deliveroo's 2025 promotion terms.

From £83 for 15 photos to £497 for 125, including taxes.
Cancellations you cause
Still charged the normal commission plus VAT, under Deliveroo's cancellation policy from 30 September 2025.

DoorDash completed its takeover of Deliveroo on 2 October 2025. The announcement didn't mention any change to restaurant fees.
Deliveroo works out its fee on the order value including VAT.
In 2020, UK restaurants told CNBC they paid Deliveroo up to 35% plus VAT on some orders, and Deliveroo declined to disclose its rates. We found no reliable 2025–26 figure since.
