Uber Eats charges restaurants in the UK 30% of the order when its couriers deliver (33% on orders from Uber One members), 13% when you deliver yourself and 13% on pickup. Card processing is included, and 20% VAT is added to the fee.

Card processing
Included in the commission. Uber Eats lists payment processing in every plan, with no separate card fee.
VAT on the commission
Yes. Uber Eats' terms say its fees exclude VAT and the restaurant pays VAT on top, at 20% in the UK. A VAT-registered restaurant can usually reclaim it.
Activation fee
£650 plus VAT, once. It covers a tablet, a printer, menu set-up, professional photos, a window sticker, a welcome pack and a training call; opting out of items lowers it.
Offers and ads
Optional. Promotions you fund and sponsored listings you buy are charged separately, plus VAT.

Worth knowing
Uber Eats works out its percentage on the item price including VAT, so the commission is taken from the VAT-inclusive amount.
The 33% rate on Uber One member orders is new in 2026: Uber's UK pricing page in March 2026 listed only 30%, 13% and 13%.
