Can I choose which country my WhatsApp API message data is stored in?

Yes, it is optional. With local storage you pick the region where your message content is kept at rest.

• How it works: after a short processing time, message content is deleted from Meta data centres outside the region you choose.

• Businesses use it to follow their own rules on data location.
