How many people can a WhatsApp broadcast reach?

A Business app broadcast list reaches up to 256 contacts, and only those who saved your number. On the API, Meta's daily limit starts at 250 customers and can grow to unlimited.
- Business app: up to 256 contacts in each broadcast list, and you can make as many lists as you like.
- Only people who added you to their contacts receive it, so ask customers to save your number.
- Business broadcasts, a paid tool in some countries, can reach people who have not saved your number. You pay for each delivered message.
- API: a messaging limit caps how many different customers you message each day outside a 24-hour chat. It starts at 250.
- Some countries also show a monthly broadcast limit in the app. It is rolling out gradually, so you may not see one.
