How do I send offers to customers on WhatsApp?
Updated 30 September 2026
Use a broadcast list in the Business app (up to 256 people who saved your number), or send a marketing template on the API to customers who opted in, at ₹0.8631 a message in India.
- Broadcast list: built into the Business app. Each list holds up to 256 contacts, and you can make as many lists as you like.
- Only people who saved your number receive a broadcast. Replies come back as separate private chats.
- API marketing template: reaches anyone who opted in, must be approved by WhatsApp first, and is charged per delivered message.
- An API offer costs, from 1 October 2026: ₹0.8631 in India, AED 0.2115 in the UAE, SAR 0.2159 in Saudi Arabia, US$0.0635 in the UK.
- Get customers' opt-in first. WhatsApp does not currently deliver marketing templates to phone numbers in the US.
