How often can a restaurant send offers on WhatsApp?
Updated 30 September 2026
WhatsApp publishes no fixed number for how often you can send offers. It may cap how many marketing messages each customer gets, and blocks lower your quality, so send only offers worth reading.
- WhatsApp may limit marketing messages each customer receives, based on their read rate. No number is published. After a refusal, wait 24 hours before resending.
- Blocks, reports, mutes and archives over the past seven days lower your message quality. Low quality for a sustained time gets your sending rate-limited.
- Marketing messages sent within 24 hours after a customer replies to a marketing message do not count toward that limit.
- Business app: some countries may see a monthly broadcast limit, which WhatsApp is rolling out gradually.
- WhatsApp does not currently deliver marketing templates to US phone numbers (+1 with a US area code).
