Can I ask customers for card numbers over WhatsApp?

No. WhatsApp's Business Policy says not to ask customers to share full card numbers, financial account numbers or personal ID card numbers.
- The policy also covers other sensitive identifiers.
- Take payment through a payment link, UPI or another gateway page instead.
- Do not ask customers to type or send card details in a chat.
Let customers pay without typing card details
Customers pay online at checkout by card or UPI to your own payment account, so nobody types card details into a chat.
