Can I send a WhatsApp offer with a countdown timer?
Updated 6 October 2026
Yes, on the WhatsApp Business API. A limited-time offer template shows an expiry date and a running countdown for the offer, with a copy-code button.
- It must be a marketing template.
- The offer text is limited to 16 characters, for example the offer name.
- The countdown text is fixed and turns red when less than an hour is left.
- People on WhatsApp Web or desktop do not see the offer, only a notice that it is not supported there.
- Footer text is not allowed in this template.
Let customers use the code on your menu
Menuthere sends your broadcasts from your own number, and the offer code the customer copies can be applied with coupons and offers on your Menuthere ordering link.
