How do cloud kitchens use WhatsApp ordering?
Updated 30 September 2026
Cloud kitchens use WhatsApp as a direct ordering channel next to delivery apps: customers tap a link or scan a QR code to message the kitchen, which replies by hand on the Business app or automatically on the API.
- Link everywhere: put your WhatsApp link or QR code on packaging, menus and Instagram so customers can start a chat.
- Volume: the Business app is one phone plus up to 4 linked devices. The API is built for high volumes of chats.
- Bot for routine chats: on the API, a bot can send the menu when a customer says “Hi”, take the order and send status updates.
- Several brands: on the API, a new business portfolio can register 2 numbers. Verification, or a 2,000 messaging limit, raises that to 20.
- Keep the delivery apps: WhatsApp suits repeat customers. It is not a marketplace and does not find new ones.
Direct orders for your cloud kitchen
Menuthere gives a cloud kitchen its own ordering website at 0% commission, with delivery areas drawn on a map and your own riders app with live tracking. Customers can also send “Hi” on WhatsApp to get an Order Now button.
