The short answer
An online ordering system for a restaurant in Nigeria is your own ordering website plus a dashboard. Customers choose pickup, delivery or dine-in on their phone from a link or a table QR code. You get the order on your phone and keep the customer's details. The menu opens in the phone's browser, so nobody downloads an app. If you are after a food ordering app of your own, see the restaurant ordering app page.
Delivery apps in Nigeria take a share of each order (see the next section). Menuthere takes 0% on every plan. You pay for the plan: Free with 50 orders a month, Lite at US$9 or Pro at US$39, billed in US dollars.
One limit comes first. Stripe does not open accounts in Nigeria, so Menuthere cannot take online card payments for a Nigerian restaurant. Customers pay cash on delivery or at the restaurant, by transfer to your account, or through a payment link you add yourself. The payments section has the detail.
What you pay the apps today
Chowdeck prints its commission tiers in its own help centre. Glovo does not print its rate on the pages we read, so its figures below are a press report. Other apps: not published. Many owners run an app and their own page together. The app brings customers and riders, and your page serves the customers you already have. Menuthere does not pull Chowdeck or Glovo orders into its dashboard. To see what leaving an app involves, read the Glovo page.

Illustration, arithmetic only: 200 orders a month at ₦8,000 is ₦1,600,000 of sales. Chowdeck at 15% is ₦240,000, at 20% is ₦320,000 and at 30% is ₦480,000. Glovo at the reported 25% is ₦400,000, plus ₦850 a month. Menuthere commission is ₦0. At 200 orders you would be on Lite, US$9 a month, about ₦12,000 at ₦1,330.47 to the dollar (CBN rate, 30 September 2026). This assumes every order goes through the app and the percentage applies to the order value. Chowdeck's pages show that base for Chowsmart meals, not for the tiers. Real costs also include riders and your own delivery.
Payments
Online card payments on Menuthere run on your own Stripe account. Stripe lists Nigeria only under "Extended network" (through Paystack) and does not open accounts there. So a Nigerian store has no online card checkout on Menuthere. Menuthere does not connect Paystack, Flutterwave or Moniepoint.
Checkout shows "Cash on delivery" for delivery orders and "Pay at store" for pickup and dine-in. The dashboard marks these orders as COD, so the kitchen knows cash is due.
On every plan you can add your own payment link or bank details. Share the account for a transfer, or a payment link from a provider you already use, and confirm on WhatsApp. You check each transfer yourself. Menuthere does not confirm it for you.
No card checkout, and no automatic confirmation of transfers or links. Menuthere takes no cut of any payment. If you need cards and transfers confirmed at checkout, a tool connected to Paystack fits better. The last section compares them.
Order types
Customers open your menu in their phone's browser and order without installing anything. It suits a bukka, a café in Lagos or a lounge with tables.
Customers choose Takeaway, order from your page and collect. Pay at store is available on every plan.
Customers type their address. The free plan has a delivery radius, fees and minimums. Lite adds fees by distance and delivery areas drawn on a map. Pro adds an app for your own riders with live tracking. Menuthere does not book Chowdeck, Glovo or other couriers for you.
Print a QR code for each table. A dashboard setting can check the diner is at the restaurant before an order goes through. A second order from the same table joins the open bill. More in table ordering.
On Lite, customers pick a time. The same plan covers table slot booking. It suits cakes and party trays.
Orders ring on the partner app (Android and iPhone) until someone accepts them. Auto-accept is available. Print the kitchen ticket and the bill from the dashboard. Staff logins are unlimited.
Sizes and add-ons are on every plan. Import your menu from a photo, a PDF, an Instagram or Google link. Mark items out of stock. Prices show in naira (₦) because you set the store currency.
Channels
Many Nigerian restaurants take orders in WhatsApp and Instagram messages today. The same orders can arrive on one page. See WhatsApp ordering and the free WhatsApp ordering system page.
Put your ordering website link in your Instagram bio, your WhatsApp status and your Google profile. Put QR codes on tables and flyers. Customers order in the browser.
Customers can chat with you on WhatsApp from the menu, and you get a copy of each order on your number.
Customers send "Hi" and get an Order Now button that opens the menu. Pro adds automatic order-status messages, broadcasts and your own WhatsApp bot. Menuthere submits the message templates these need to Meta for you. Meta bills the messages to your account, and Menuthere takes no cut. We have not tested a Nigerian number on this set-up, so use the 7-day trial before you rely on it. Meta's Nigeria rates from 1 October 2026 are US$0.0067 for utility and US$0.0516 for marketing messages.
Set-up
Plans are priced and billed in US dollars, so the naira amount moves with the exchange rate. Month to month, no contract, and a 7-day free trial on Lite and Pro.
You can set any currency for the store, so customers see ₦ prices. Phone forms take the +234 country code.
In Settings, Payments, Tax, switch on "Charge tax on orders", enter a percentage and your tax number, and call it VAT. It shows at checkout and on bills. Nigeria's VAT rate stayed at 7.5% under the tax reforms effective 1 January 2026, and registration turns on your turnover. This is general information, not tax advice, so ask your accountant. Menuthere does not file VAT, issue tax-authority e-invoices or work out state consumption tax.
Free is ₦0 with 50 orders a month, then the menu turns view-only until the 1st or you upgrade. Lite is US$9, about ₦12,000. Pro is US$39, about ₦51,900. Both at ₦1,330.47 to the dollar (CBN rate, 30 September 2026). See pricing.

Take App Business and Mira connect Paystack, so cards and transfers are confirmed at checkout. Menuthere does not do that. Mira is owned by Chowdeck, which matters if you also sell on Chowdeck. Local QR-menu and POS tools such as OrderRave, OrderMan, MyQR, SPICE, Rezta and MealNix also show up for Nigerian searches. They are not in our comparison data, so they are not in this table.
