The 10 best online ordering systems for restaurants in Kenya.
Restaurants in Kenya take orders on their own websites, apps and tables through local and regional systems such as Take App, Rack Hospitality and FoodChow. Menuthere publishes this list and makes one of the systems on it (number 4). Every figure comes from the companies' own pages, dated and listed on each system's page. How we ranked them is at the foot of the page.

Contract
Monthly, or yearly at a discount. The restaurants page says no long-term contract is needed. Yearly plans are paid up front: you can cancel the renewal at any time but cannot end the current term early.
—
No contract published. Lifetime plans are paid once; add-ons are billed yearly or monthly. The pricing page offers a '100 % Money Back Guarantee' and a 90-day growth guarantee (250 orders in 90 days or FoodChow keeps working for free), but the refund policy says service fees charged to restaurant owners are non-refundable.
Month to month; 7-day free trial on Lite and Pro
Billed yearly or monthly. Monthly billing is only for cloud hosting (Odoo Online or Odoo.sh), and yearly billing is cheaper.
Monthly, cancel anytime (pricing pages); downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle (Deonde pricing FAQ). The terms say subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, subscription fees are non-refundable, and for apps the subscription starts when they go live on the App Store and Play Store.
Monthly or yearly billing; 30-day free trial with no card, after which billing starts automatically; fees are generally non-refundable (Quickly terms)
No signed contract required: Poster works under a public offer (a written contract is optional); billing is annual or month to month, and the plan can be changed at any time.
Cloud POS is billed monthly or yearly ('Pay for 10 months and use for a year'). The pricing FAQ says you can cancel, upgrade, downgrade or pause at any time. OrderEasy is billed half-yearly or yearly; when you downgrade, the unused balance is credited to future subscriptions, not refunded. Under the Terms of Service, a cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and the account's data is deleted immediately; an account ended for non-payment keeps its data for 60 days from expiry, after which it may be deleted.
No long-term contract. Plans are prepaid monthly, quarterly, every six months or yearly, renew automatically and can be cancelled anytime. When a subscription expires, there is a 7-day grace period. After that the store is disabled and customers cannot order.

0% commission on every plan: your customers' orders are yours in full.
Free to start, with 50 orders a month. Lite is $9 a month for unlimited orders and your own domain.
Your own ordering website, QR menus and table ordering, with a partner app that rings until you accept each order.
Pro adds WhatsApp order updates on your own number, loyalty points and your own delivery riders.
Online card payments aren't available in Kenya yet: customers pay cash, on delivery or at pickup, and card payments are planned.
Small restaurants, cafés and home kitchens in almost any country that already take orders on WhatsApp and want a free menu link with local payment methods
Take App is a Singapore-built online store for WhatsApp: a restaurant gets a menu link where customers order for delivery, pickup or at the table by QR code, and each order arrives as a complete WhatsApp message and in a dashboard and phone app. It is a general store builder for many business types, with restaurant extras such as a mobile POS, a kitchen display and table reservations. The Basic plan is free and saves 50 orders a month, Business is $50 a month, and neither takes a commission.

Customers pay through the restaurant's own gateway account. Take App lists 32 gateways, including Stripe, PayPal, Xendit, Razorpay, Paystack, Flutterwave, Mercado Pago, M-Pesa Express, HitPay, Adyen, Paymob and Tap, and 128 payment methods in all. The country pages list local methods such as M-Pesa, Airtel, Paystack, Flutterwave and Pesapal in Kenya, and Mercado Pago, OXXO, CoDi and Clip in Mexico. Manual methods (bank transfer, QR such as PayNow, cash on delivery, with payment-proof upload) work on the free plan. Automatic card payments need Business. Take App says it never holds the restaurant's money.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · WhatsApp ordering or updates · Multiple locations · Reservations
Free Basic plan with 0% commission and unlimited products, and 0% commission on the $50-a-month Business plan too (Take App pricing page).
Takes no payment-processing fee on any method: the connected gateway charges its own rate and pays the restaurant directly (Take App help centre, Payment Processing Fee).
Local payment methods in many markets, for example M-Pesa, Airtel, Pesapal, Paystack and Flutterwave in Kenya; Paystack, Flutterwave and NIBSS/NQR in Nigeria; and Mercado Pago, OXXO, CoDi and Clip in Mexico (Take App country pages; 32 gateways on the integrations page).
The free plan saves only 50 orders a month to the dashboard. After that, orders still reach the restaurant's WhatsApp but are not saved to the dashboard (Take App pricing page).
Card payments, automated WhatsApp order updates, a custom domain, the delivery-fee calculator, courier and driver tracking, loyalty and analytics all need the Business plan at $50 a month (Take App pricing comparison and FAQ).
Business includes 1,000 automated WhatsApp messages a month. After that, each message costs $0.05, and each store over five costs $8 (Take App pricing page).
Kenyan bars and restaurants that want POS, kitchen display, stock control and Pesapal card and M-Pesa payments in one system
Rack Hospitality is a POS for bars and restaurants from Drift Consult, the developer of RACK POS, with Pesapal's payments built in. Pesapal and Drift Consult launched it in Kenya on 18 February 2026. It puts order taking for dine-in and online channels, a kitchen display, billing with split bills and tabs, ingredient-level stock and card and M-Pesa payment reconciliation in one system. No price is published for the Hospitality edition; RACK's general POS plans are listed at KES 3,999 to 7,999 a month per branch.

Pesapal's payments are built in: card and mobile money (M-Pesa) payments are captured and recorded separately for reconciliation, with real-time settlement visibility in the same reports (Pesapal Rack page and launch announcement). No online payment for customer orders is described.
Pesapal payments are built in: card and M-Pesa payments are captured in the same system and recorded separately for reconciliation, with real-time settlement visibility (Pesapal Rack page; launch announcement, 18 February 2026).
Sends dine-in and online orders to a kitchen display, generates bills and prints receipts, and lets bar staff post bills in real time, split bills and retrieve tabs (Pesapal launch announcement).
Tracks ingredient-level stock, manages several branches from one dashboard, and offers optional KRA eTIMS integration for fiscalised invoices and receipts; Pesapal says it is an approved eTIMS third-party integrator (Pesapal Rack page and launch announcement).
No price is published for the Hospitality edition: Pesapal's Rack page offers only a demo request, and RACK's plan prices on rack.business (KES 3,999 to 7,999 a month, charged per branch) do not mention it.
The published material does not describe a customer-facing ordering website, QR table ordering or delivery; online orders are mentioned only as a channel Rack captures (Pesapal launch announcement).
Kenya only so far: Pesapal's Rack page is on its Kenya site only (the Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zambia versions return no Rack page), RACK's prices are in Kenyan shillings, and the launch says Rack Hospitality is built for Kenya's mobile-first payments and is being rolled out across 'qualifying partners'.
Small restaurants, cafés and sweet shops, mainly in India, that would rather pay once than monthly for an ordering website, app and QR ordering
FoodChow is an online ordering and POS platform from Tenacious Techies in Surat, India. It gives restaurants, cafés and sweet shops an ordering website, their own mobile app, QR table ordering, a POS billing app and delivery management for their own drivers. It sells one-time 'lifetime' plans from ₹5,475 in India ($300 elsewhere), and its pricing page lists a 1.8% fee on each order.

Restaurants connect their own payment gateway and receive the money directly. The pricing page lists Razorpay on every plan, and FoodChow's FAQ page says restaurants set up their own PayPal account for online payments. Cash on delivery is also supported.

Prices are published: the 'lifetime' plans are paid once, from ₹5,475 in India or $300 elsewhere, rather than as a monthly subscription (FoodChow pricing page).
One platform covers an ordering website, the restaurant's own mobile app, QR table ordering, table reservations, pre-orders and a POS billing app (FoodChow pricing, Features and home pages).
Restaurants can run delivery with their own drivers from a delivery dashboard that assigns each order to a driver (FoodChow delivery dashboard page; 'Own Driver / Porter' on the pricing page).
The pricing page lists a 1.8% per-order commission on every plan, while the homepage promises zero commission; the pricing and Features pages say only cash orders are commission-free (FoodChow pricing, home and Features pages).
The entry plan covers takeaway and dine-in only. Delivery needs the ₹10,900 plan, and the full POS billing app, SEO and coaching need the ₹25,000 Growth Plan (FoodChow pricing page).
On the lifetime plans, WhatsApp integration (₹5,475 or $300 a year), extra menus (₹2,000 or $100 a year) and the Bio Link module (₹900 or $49 a month) cost extra (FoodChow pricing page).

Restaurants that want QR ordering, kiosks and kitchen screens in a POS linked to full accounting and inventory, and can manage a more involved setup
Odoo is a Belgian suite of open-source business apps. Its POS Restaurant app runs table service, kitchen displays, QR and kiosk self-ordering, and takeaway and delivery orders, and its eCommerce app adds an online ordering website. It suits restaurants that want the till connected to Odoo's accounting, inventory and marketing apps. One app, such as POS Restaurant, is free for unlimited users. Using two or more apps costs a fee per user per month (Standard is US$31.10 billed yearly), and the pricing page lists no per-order commission.

Online payments go through a payment provider the restaurant connects. Options include Adyen, Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Mercado Pago, Mollie, Xendit, Flutterwave, Paymob and PayU. Pay-on-site and cash on delivery are also available. In-store card terminals include Adyen, Stripe, Viva.com, Worldline, SIX, Ingenico, Mercado Pago, Razorpay, Pine Labs, Tyro, QFPay, Mollie and DPO Pay. QR self-orders can take one online payment method. At a kiosk, card terminals must be Adyen or Stripe, guests can also pay online by scanning a QR code, and cash is not accepted.
POS Restaurant is free with unlimited users on the One App Free plan, and the pricing page lists no per-order commission (Odoo pricing page; Odoo POS Restaurant page).
QR table ordering and self-order kiosks are built into the POS. Guests order and pay from their phone or a kiosk, and orders go straight to the kitchen preparation display (Odoo 19.0 documentation, Self-ordering).
Dine-in, takeaway, eCommerce website orders and delivery-app orders are handled in one place. Delivery can be limited to a set radius, and orders can be booked into time slots (Odoo POS Restaurant features page; Odoo documentation, Presets).
Website orders for delivery or pickup run through Odoo's eCommerce app, which is separate from POS. Installing a second app moves the restaurant off the free plan onto Standard, at US$31.10 per user a month billed yearly (US$24.90 in the first year) (Odoo pricing page; Odoo POS Restaurant features page).
Delivery-app orders come in through UrbanPiper. This needs a separate UrbanPiper subscription, an Odoo Enterprise subscription and a reseller account with each delivery platform (Odoo 19.0 documentation, UrbanPiper).
Customers can only place QR or kiosk orders while the POS register is open (Odoo 19.0 documentation, Self-ordering).
Restaurants that want to start free on a commission-free ordering site and later pay per outlet for a branded app, loyalty and their own drivers
Deonde is an Indian white-label ordering and delivery platform whose restaurant product, Ressto, gives restaurants an ordering website with QR table ordering and table reservations, and on the top plan a branded iOS and Android app, loyalty and a driver app. A separate Deonde Express line ($99 to $399 a month) is for multi-vendor delivery marketplaces. Ressto has a free plan (100 orders a month, cash only) and paid plans at $39 and $99 per restaurant a month, with 0% commission on every plan.

The restaurant connects its own gateway account and receives the money directly. Ressto lists Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, SumUp, Xendit, Authorize.Net, Clover, USAePay, CardConnect and Bambora (Worldline), plus cash on delivery and pay at counter. Deonde's FAQ adds PayFort, Telr, Paystack, Flutterwave, MTN Mobile Money, M-Pesa, Apple Pay and Google Pay, saying gateways vary by region, and its country pages mention GCash and Maya (Philippines) and Lanka QR (Sri Lanka). Online payments need Ressto Growth or above; the free Basic plan is cash only.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · Loyalty · Marketing tools · Branded app · Multiple locations · Menu translation · Reservations
Free-forever Ressto Basic plan with an ordering website, up to 10 QR codes for ordering, table reservations and 0% commission, for up to 100 orders a month (Ressto pricing page).
0% commission on every plan and no per-order fees on Ressto plans; the restaurant uses its own payment gateway, with Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, SumUp and six more listed (Ressto pricing and integrations pages).
The Scale plan ($99 per restaurant a month) includes a branded iOS and Android app published under the restaurant's name, a loyalty programme, and delivery management with a driver app and live tracking (Ressto pricing page).
The free Basic plan takes cash payments only, caps orders at 100 a month and carries Ressto's domain and branding; online payments start on Growth at $39 per restaurant a month (Ressto pricing page).
The branded app, loyalty, delivery management and driver app are only on Scale ($99 per restaurant a month), and POS integration is not in Basic, Growth or Scale; Ressto's POS page says it is available on custom plans.
Deonde's own pages disagree on plan details: the Basic menu-item limit is 50 on deonde.co but 200 on ressto.co, and the Ressto FAQ describes a $39 'Pro' plan with a branded app, while the pricing page puts the app in the $99 Scale plan.

Card payments on the Poster Site ordering website (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) are taken through Stripe, connected with the restaurant's own Stripe keys; the help centre says to check that Stripe is available in the restaurant's country. For delivery orders taken at the POS, Poster accepts card, cash or partial payment with cash-back rewards.
One subscription covers the POS app (iOS, Android, Windows and Mac) with offline mode and a floor plan, inventory with automatic stock deductions, cash-flow reports, a customer database, loyalty programs and sales reports; Business adds dish modifiers, promotions and delivery management (Poster pricing page).
The Poster Site ordering website pulls the menu, photos and prices from the POS, sends web orders straight to the Poster terminal, and includes a free ps.me address or the restaurant's own domain; it costs US$19 a month for up to 500 orders, with the first 100 orders free (Poster Site page).
No commission or per-order fee from Poster, no set-up fee and no signed contract required (Poster pricing FAQ).
Online ordering is a paid add-on: the ordering website costs US$19 a month (MXN 361 + IVA in Mexico) on top of the POS plan, and delivery management, dish modifiers and promotions are listed from the Business plan at US$44 a month billed annually (Poster pricing and Poster Site pages).
Card payments on the ordering website need the restaurant's own Stripe account and only work where Stripe is available; Stripe's fee applies on top (Poster help centre and Poster Site FAQ).
The ordering website's working hours apply to every day: different hours per weekday or specific days off cannot be set; menu item names are not translated automatically, and the site interface is available only in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Spanish (Poster help centre).
Indian restaurants, bakeries and chains that want inventory, recipe and multi-outlet control in the POS, and will pay extra for their own branded ordering app
Gofrugal is a restaurant POS and back-office system from Chennai, India, now a division of Zoho, for billing, kitchen tickets, inventory, recipes, multi-outlet control and Swiggy and Zomato orders. Own online ordering comes as paid add-ons with no commission: GoContactless QR table ordering and OrderEasy, a branded ordering app and web app. In India the cloud POS starts at ₹500 a month per store including GST, and OrderEasy costs from ₹1,699 a month plus a ₹24,999 set-up fee before tax; outside India POS prices are quote-only.

The contactless dining page says QR orders can be paid online on the guest's phone through 'online payment integration'. OrderEasy lists online payment modes plus cash, card, GPay, PhonePe and Paytm on delivery. The restaurant price lists sell integrations for Razorpay, PayFacto, Paytm, Pine Labs, Mosambee, Innoviti, EzeTap, PhonePe and Zoho Payments card terminals, M-Pesa and Interswitch. No gateway rates are published.

No commission on the restaurant's own online orders. The OrderEasy pricing FAQ says Gofrugal 'does not collect any revenue commission', and the app syncs with the Gofrugal POS (OrderEasy pricing page).
Low published entry price for the POS in India. The cloud restaurant POS costs ₹500 a month or ₹5,000 a year per store on Basic, and ₹1,100 a month or ₹11,000 a year on Elite, GST included, with a 30-day free trial; online ordering add-ons cost extra (Gofrugal pricing page).
OrderEasy gives the restaurant a branded Android app and a web app (PWA) in its own name, with pickup, delivery slots, delivery charges and a minimum order value. Pro adds an iOS app and the GoDeliver rider app with live location tracking (OrderEasy pricing page; GoDeliver page).
The ordering app costs extra. OrderEasy has a set-up fee of ₹24,999 (Basic) or ₹29,999 (Pro), plus ₹1,699 to ₹3,399 a month before tax, billed half-yearly or yearly. On Basic, the iOS app, multi-language and offers are paid extras (OrderEasy pricing page).
The cheapest cloud plan leaves out restaurant basics. Gofrugal's feature list for Basic excludes table management, processing orders from food aggregators, and recipe and purchase management; they come with Elite at ₹1,100 a month (Gofrugal pricing page).
POS prices are published for India only. Everywhere else the pricing page shows 'Request for quote', and the OrderEasy pricing page says its prices do not apply to installations outside India (Gofrugal pricing pages).

Payments go into a Catlog wallet through Paystack, and the business withdraws to a bank account or mobile wallet. Payment methods by country: Nigeria: card, bank transfer, USSD, direct debit, cryptocurrency and a business bank account in the business's name (BVN, NIN and address checks needed). Ghana: Paystack and mobile money (the site FAQ also names Zeepay). Kenya: M-Pesa and card. South Africa: card, EFT and Scan to Pay. Businesses approved for international payments can also take USD (Stripe or crypto) and GBP (Stripe or Leatherback); this needs the Business+ or Business Pro plan. Customers can also skip online payment and send the order to the business on WhatsApp or Instagram.
Low monthly prices in local currency: ₦2,750 (Lite) to ₦25,000 (Business Pro) in Nigeria, with local prices in Ghana, South Africa and Kenya, and a 3-day free trial with no card needed (pricing page, help centre).
No per-order commission is published. Customers pay on the storefront or send the order to the business on WhatsApp or Instagram, and every order lands in one Orders tab (help centre, online store page).
Local payments built in: Paystack card, transfer and USSD in Nigeria, mobile money in Ghana, M-Pesa in Kenya, and card, EFT and Scan to Pay in South Africa, plus a business bank account in Nigeria. Businesses can set their own delivery prices by location and offer pickup. In Nigeria and Ghana, couriers can be booked from an order; the deliveries page names GIG, Relay by Chowdeck, Fez Delivery and Sendbox among its partners (payments and deliveries pages, help centre, pricing plans).
Not built for restaurants. It is a general online store for social-media sellers. Its plan feature lists include no QR table ordering, POS, kitchen display or menu-specific tools, and its restaurant WhatsApp ordering bot, Chowbot, is still marked "Coming Soon".
Only for businesses based in, or mainly operating in, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya or South Africa (help centre). Courier booking is listed for Nigeria and Ghana only.
No free plan since 3 October 2024: only a 3-day trial, and the store is disabled 7 days after a subscription lapses. The cheaper plans cap products at 10 (Lite) and 100 (Basic). A custom domain and international payments need Business+ (₦12,500 a month).
Whether restaurants in Kenya can sign up and use it today: a local site, local pricing, local customers or a sign-up open to any country.
What it costs a small restaurant: the monthly price, any commission or per-order fee, and contracts.
What it does for ordering: your own website, QR table ordering, delivery, pickup and payments.
Menuthere is on the list because it is a real option here, and we put it where its strengths — no commission and a free plan — fit; its limits (such as payments outside India) are stated in its entry.
Nobody paid to be on this list. Prices change: check each company's own page before you sign.
