Festive menu

What it is
A festive menu is the fixed seasonal menu you run through December, often set-price, that office parties and groups book in advance. Menuthere takes those bookings and the dishes that go with them on your own page.
Put your two- or three-course festive menu online with sizes, photos and prices. Groups see exactly what's on and what it costs before they book.
Guests pick Dine-in, book a date and time for the party, say how many are coming, and pre-order the festive dishes you allow, so the kitchen has the choices in advance.
Every booking and order is yours. Menuthere takes no cut. Card fees, where you take payment, go to your own payment gateway, not to us.
How it works
On Lite, with your menu already uploaded.
Add your festive courses, sides and drinks with sizes, photos and set prices. Decide which dishes a group can pre-order when they book.
In Settings › Ordering › Prebooking settings, set Dine-in slots across the festive weeks, how far ahead groups can book, the notice you need, and ask how many people are coming.
Take card payment up front for the festive menu through your own gateway (Stripe where it opens accounts, Razorpay or Easebuzz in India), or send a payment link. There is no separate table deposit feature.
Open Share to copy your link, put it on Instagram, your Google listing and your festive flyers, and print a QR code for tables and the bar. One link runs the whole festive season.
Bookings and pre-ordered dishes collect in the Prebookings tab, with the next hour at the top. You get an alert one hour before each booked slot and again when it starts.
A worked example
A pub runs a three-course festive menu through December. An office party of 12 books a Thursday evening slot, says there are 12 of them, and each person pre-orders their starter, main and dessert. The kitchen sees all 12 choices days ahead, so there's no taking orders table-side on a packed night, and the pub charges the festive menu by card up front through its own Stripe account (on Lite).
The numbers below are an illustration to show how the money works, not a real pub's figures. Menuthere takes 0% commission on all of it, and card fees go to the pub's own gateway, not to us.
An illustration
A festive party of 12 at US$45 a head, paid by card up front. An example, not a quote; card fees are set by your gateway, not by Menuthere.
| Line | On Menuthere Lite | On a 30% marketplace |
|---|---|---|
| 12 covers at US$45 | US$540 | US$540 |
| Platform commission | US$0 (0%) | −US$162 (30%) |
| Your plan | −US$17 (one month of Lite) | US$0 |
| Card fees | Set by your own gateway | Usually bundled into the cut |
| You keep (before card fees) | US$523 | US$378 |
Commission is the difference. A marketplace cut grows with every party; Lite is a flat US$17 a month however many festive bookings you take.
Good to know
Pre-orders and table booking are on Lite, not Free. On the Free plan customers order for as soon as possible. Festive bookings and pre-ordered dishes start on Lite (US$17 a month), which has a 14-day free trial: a card starts it and nothing is charged until the 14 days end. See pricing and pre-orders and table booking.
No deposit, no-show fee, table plan or waitlist yet. It is slot-based booking built into your menu, not a full reservation system. To protect a big party, take card payment up front for the festive menu (Lite and above, through your own gateway), or send a payment link.
Selling the festive menu for collection or delivery too? Point takeaway orders at Christmas pre-orders, and larger or office spreads at the catering ordering system.
