The 10 best online ordering systems for restaurants in Austria.
Restaurants in Austria take orders on their own websites, apps and tables through local and regional systems such as DISH Order, APRO and resmio. Of the 9 systems compared here besides Menuthere, 6 say they take no commission on orders and 4 have a free plan; the rest charge a monthly fee or quote per restaurant.
Menuthere publishes this list and makes one of the systems on it (number 4). Every figure comes from the companies' own pages, dated and listed on each system's page. How we ranked them is at the foot of the page.

Online ordering systems for restaurants in Austria, compared
Not published. APRO quotes each module after a consultation, and its pages do not mention any per-order commission.
4% of the order value on pickup and delivery orders (including orders through Google), 2% on QR table orders, and 6% on voucher and ticket sales. The order flat rate (149.90 EUR a month, PREMIUM or ULTIMATE only) removes the order commission. No commission is charged on online orders in the first 30 days after sign-up.

Not published. The terms allow paid modules to be billed as a percentage of the revenue ordered through Appatini instead of a fixed price, and on that model Appatini may charge its percentage on an order cancelled 10 or more minutes after it was placed (terms 8.10 and 8.13). A restaurant owner quoted on Appatini's homepage says Appatini charges a fixed price.

Contract
Depends on the country. Germany: 36-, 12- or 3-month terms (shorter terms cost more). France: 12 months, 3 months or no commitment. Italy: 12 months, 6 months or no commitment. Spain (DISH Premium): 12 months, 6 months or no commitment. Poland and Croatia: 12 months or no commitment. The Austrian, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian and Slovak pages show no term.
No term length is published. A contract starts with APRO's order confirmation or a signed order form. The terms grant a non-transferable software licence with no time limit. Weekend and holiday support depends on the maintenance contract (terms and FAQ).
BASIC can be cancelled at any time. PREMIUM and ULTIMATE have a 12-month minimum term that renews for another 12 months unless cancelled in writing with 4 weeks' notice before the end of the term. A monthly cancellation right costs 10 EUR net a month extra. Add-ons follow the main plan's term, and services cannot be cancelled monthly, except the phone assistant (pricing page; terms last updated 1 August 2025).
Month to month; 7-day free trial on Lite and Pro
24-month initial term, then renews automatically by 12 months unless cancelled in writing 3 months before the end (terms dated 25 April 2025)
Monthly and success tariffs: 3-month minimum, then cancellable monthly with 1 month's notice; yearly tariff cancellable 1 month before it ends; both renew automatically. Business customers only.
No minimum term published. The terms say the agreement runs until it is ended and a restaurant can delete its account at any time (9.1, 9.4); fixed monthly fees are invoiced at the start of each period and revenue-share fees at the end (8.12).
Billed yearly or monthly. Monthly billing is only for cloud hosting (Odoo Online or Odoo.sh), and yearly billing is cheaper.
Basic, Grow and Pro are rolling monthly, cancel any time; Enterprise runs on an agreed term (pricing page). The fee docs also describe a 'monthly' billing type that is a 12-month commitment with a lower transaction rate.
Displayed prices are for yearly plans paid upfront; other subscription periods are available; 14-day money-back guarantee

Restaurants in Germany, Austria and other European METRO markets that want a fixed-price ordering widget for their own website and Google listing
DISH Order (sold as DISH Professional Order) is a commission-free online ordering system from DISH Digital Solutions, the restaurant-software company of the wholesaler METRO. Restaurants take delivery and pickup orders through a widget on their own website, their Google listing and their Facebook and Instagram pages, and handle them on a DISH order terminal. It costs a fixed monthly fee (from €49 a month in Germany, excluding VAT) plus a one-time setup fee, and DISH takes 1.89% of the takings on orders paid online.

Online payments
Restaurants turn on online payments in the DISH Order dashboard through DISH's own payment onboarding (payout to the restaurant's IBAN). Guests can pay by PayPal, credit card or Girokarte at 1.89% of gross takings, or in cash on pickup. DISH also sells mobile card readers for payment at the door, which need an extra SIM subscription.
Includes: Own ordering website · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · Marketing tools · Reservations
No commission and no per-order fee: a fixed monthly price, from €49 a month in Germany on a 36-month term (DISH Order pricing page).
Guests can order from the restaurant's Google listing as well as from a widget on any website, and order buttons can be added to Facebook and Instagram (DISH help centre).
Delivery zones drawn on a map or set by postcode, delivery fees by order value, pre-orders and coupons are built in (DISH help centre).
A one-time setup fee on new contracts: €299 in Germany and Austria, €199 in France and Spain.
The lowest German price needs a 36-month contract; it rises to €59 a month on 12 months and €64 on 3 months.
Online payments cost 1.89% of gross takings on top of the monthly fee.
Restaurants, hotels and chains in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol that want webshop, app, kiosk and delivery-app orders to land in one APRO POS
APRO is a restaurant POS from APRO Kassensysteme GmbH in Oed-Oehling, Austria, with add-on modules that take orders from a restaurant's own customers: a webshop, a take-away and delivery module, and guest apps (Smorder or a white-label app in the restaurant's own design), all feeding the APRO till and kitchen monitor. It is sold to restaurants, hotels and chains in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy (South Tyrol), directly and through local sales partners. Prices are quoted after a consultation: APRO's FAQ says a basic POS set (one till and one printer) starts at about 3,500 EUR, and the price varies with the modules chosen.

Commission
Not published. APRO quotes each module after a consultation, and its pages do not mention any per-order commission.
Online payments
The Lieferservice (delivery) module takes online payment by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or APRO's own wallet. The Smorder pages also list Sofortüberweisung. APRO's payment interfaces include Adyen, Hobex, Nexi, PAYONE/Worldline, Global Payments, card complete, CCV SoftPOS, PayPal, VR-payment and others. The site does not say which provider handles webshop payments or at what rate.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · Branded app · Delivery-app integration · Multiple locations · Menu translation · Reservations
Orders from the webshop, the delivery/take-away module, the guest app and self-order kiosks go into the APRO till and kitchen monitor, and items, prices and availability are taken from the till. APRO also has interfaces to Lieferando, Foodora/Mjam, Wolt, Hungry Lama and Food Ninjas (webshop, delivery module, kiosk and Bestellmanager pages; FAQ; delivery-service interfaces).
The delivery module sets delivery zones by postcode or radius, with delivery fees and minimum order values, pre-order and pickup time slots, and automatic pauses when the kitchen is busy. It works across several locations (Lieferservice Modul page).
Restaurants can get their own app in their own design, with ordering, online payment, loyalty points, vouchers and a language switch. HONU Tiki Bowls in Vienna uses one for pre-orders and a digital stamp card, and the Le Burger chain (17 locations in Austria) runs APRO's till, kiosks, guest app and delivery module (App products page, customer stories).
No prices are published for the online-ordering modules. Restaurants book a demo and get a tailored offer. The FAQ puts a basic POS set (one till and one printer) at about 3,500 EUR, and the price varies with the modules chosen.
APRO presents the webshop, delivery and app products as modules of its POS: every product page describes them as connected to the APRO till, and the FAQ says each module can be bought and switched on later. The pages do not describe using them without an APRO till.
It is sold only in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy (FAQ), and APRO's website is in German only.
Restaurants in Germany, Austria and Switzerland that mainly need table reservations and want pickup, delivery and QR table ordering in the same system, with no monthly fee to start
resmio is a restaurant reservation and management system from resmio GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany, whose digital menu also takes pickup, delivery, Google and QR table orders, paid online through the restaurant's own Stripe or PayPal account or in cash. Its home market is Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and its Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese sites say it also has customers in those countries. Ordering is included in the free BASIC plan for a 4% commission (2% on QR table orders), or commission-free with a 149.90 EUR a month order flat rate on the paid plans (from 69.90 EUR a month, net).

Online payments
Guests pay online through the restaurant's own Stripe and/or PayPal business account connected to resmio: credit card, SEPA direct debit and PayPal. The restaurant can also accept cash for pickup and delivery, with an optional cash limit, or payment to the waiter for QR orders. Tips can be switched on. Google 'Order online' is available only to restaurants that accept cash payments.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · Marketing tools · Multiple locations · Reservations
The free BASIC plan includes the digital menu with pickup, delivery, Google and QR table ordering. resmio charges no setup fee and gives free support by phone, email and live chat (resmio pricing page).
Reservations, voucher and ticket sales and online orders run in one resmio account; the paid plans add a table plan and waitlist, and email newsletters come with the Marketing add-on (resmio pricing page).
Pickup and delivery settings include delivery zones drawn on a map with a fee for each, a minimum order value, order limits, lead time and pre-orders up to six days ahead (resmio help centre).
Ordering is not commission-free by default: resmio takes 4% of pickup and delivery orders and 2% of QR table orders. Removing the commission takes the 149.90 EUR a month order flat rate, which is listed only on the paid plans (from 69.90 EUR a month, net) (resmio pricing page).
PREMIUM and ULTIMATE need a 12-month minimum contract that renews for another 12 months unless cancelled in writing 4 weeks before the end. Monthly cancellation costs 10 EUR a month extra (resmio pricing page and terms).
Online card, SEPA and PayPal payments need the restaurant's own Stripe and/or PayPal business account. resmio has no POS of its own: it connects to orderbird, LINA, APRO and Vectron, mostly for reservations and menu import (resmio ordering and integrations pages).

It is sold to restaurants, food trucks and hotels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland after a consultation, and it charges per module: 69 EUR a month for the first POS licence plus 69 EUR a month for the ordering module, or 29 EUR a month plus 5% of online sales on the ordering module's success tariff.

Guests can prepay pickup, delivery and pre-orders online, with tip suggestions. Loyalty cards can be used as a payment method with the Kundenbindung module.

Pickup, delivery, pre-orders, QR table orders and self-order terminal orders all come into the Gastronovi POS, and rules can accept orders automatically, for example when prepaid, within set hours or above a minimum order value (Gastronovi ordering system page).
Prices are published per module: the ordering module is 69 EUR a month (690 EUR a year) with no commission, or 29 EUR a month plus 5% of online sales on the success tariff (Gastronovi price overview).
Own delivery with up to ten delivery zones set by postcode, each with its own delivery fee and minimum order; Lieferando, Wolt and Uber Eats orders can be brought in through Deliverect for 29 EUR a month plus 299 EUR setup (Gastronovi support portal and integrations page).
Works only with the Gastronovi POS: the ordering module needs the POS module (69 EUR a month for the first licence) and cannot connect to other POS systems (ordering system FAQ).
Not self-serve: restaurants book a consultation, then receive a tailored offer, and Gastronovi sells to businesses only (contact page and terms).
Monthly and success tariffs have a 3-month minimum term, and monthly and yearly tariffs renew automatically; the success tariff adds a 99 EUR setup fee per module (price overview).
Small restaurants and takeaways in Austria that want pickup, delivery, table QR ordering, reservations and loyalty points in one tool, with personal setup help
Appatini is a small Austrian ordering, reservation and loyalty platform for restaurants, cafés, bars and hotels, run by Gerhard Reisinger e.U. Guests order for pickup, delivery or to their table (by scanning a QR code) in the Appatini web app or through a restaurant's own order link, and pay cash or online through the restaurant's own Stripe account. Prices are not published: there is a reduced free ordering system, and paid modules are quoted after a free consultation and billed either as a fixed price or as a percentage of the revenue ordered through Appatini.
Price
Free plan
Commission
Not published. The terms allow paid modules to be billed as a percentage of the revenue ordered through Appatini instead of a fixed price, and on that model Appatini may charge its percentage on an order cancelled 10 or more minutes after it was placed (terms 8.10 and 8.13). A restaurant owner quoted on Appatini's homepage says Appatini charges a fixed price.
Online payments
The restaurant chooses cash, online payment or both. Online payments go through the restaurant's own Stripe account, which it must open itself; Appatini does not take guest payments. The 2021 terms list credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Sofort and EPS transfer as online methods and also name Braintree (PayPal), but the sign-up form names only Stripe and the Android app's update notes say the Braintree API was removed.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · Loyalty · Marketing tools · Branded app · Reservations
One tool for pickup (the guest picks a pickup time), delivery by the restaurant itself, table orders from a QR code and a reservation system (Appatini terms 4.1–4.2 and homepage FAQ).
Loyalty points and a regulars' club; restaurants can send guests news such as a weekly menu at the push of a button, and the terms let them contact guests who opted in by email, SMS, push or post (homepage and terms section 10).
Not a till: Appatini says it is compatible with any POS system, and a restaurant can also get its own branded app in the App Store (homepage FAQ).
No published prices: paid modules are quoted after a consultation, and the terms allow billing as a percentage of order revenue rather than a fixed fee (homepage FAQ and terms 8.10).
Guests must create an Appatini account (email and password, or a Facebook or Google login) before they can order (terms 3.5).
The free version can be withdrawn at any time at Appatini's discretion, and using it means agreeing to receive advertising from Appatini and its partners (terms 8.9).
Restaurants that want QR ordering, kiosks and kitchen screens in a POS linked to full accounting and inventory, and can manage a more involved setup
Odoo is a Belgian suite of open-source business apps. Its POS Restaurant app runs table service, kitchen displays, QR and kiosk self-ordering, and takeaway and delivery orders, and its eCommerce app adds an online ordering website. It suits restaurants that want the till connected to Odoo's accounting, inventory and marketing apps. One app, such as POS Restaurant, is free for unlimited users. Using two or more apps costs a fee per user per month (Standard is US$31.10 billed yearly), and the pricing page lists no per-order commission.

Online payments go through a payment provider the restaurant connects. Options include Adyen, Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Mercado Pago, Mollie, Xendit, Flutterwave, Paymob and PayU. Pay-on-site and cash on delivery are also available. In-store card terminals include Adyen, Stripe, Viva.com, Worldline, SIX, Ingenico, Mercado Pago, Razorpay, Pine Labs, Tyro, QFPay, Mollie and DPO Pay. QR self-orders can take one online payment method. At a kiosk, card terminals must be Adyen or Stripe, guests can also pay online by scanning a QR code, and cash is not accepted.
POS Restaurant is free with unlimited users on the One App Free plan, and the pricing page lists no per-order commission (Odoo pricing page; Odoo POS Restaurant page).
QR table ordering and self-order kiosks are built into the POS. Guests order and pay from their phone or a kiosk, and orders go straight to the kitchen preparation display (Odoo 19.0 documentation, Self-ordering).
Dine-in, takeaway, eCommerce website orders and delivery-app orders are handled in one place. Delivery can be limited to a set radius, and orders can be booked into time slots (Odoo POS Restaurant features page; Odoo documentation, Presets).
Website orders for delivery or pickup run through Odoo's eCommerce app, which is separate from POS. Installing a second app moves the restaurant off the free plan onto Standard, at US$31.10 per user a month billed yearly (US$24.90 in the first year) (Odoo pricing page; Odoo POS Restaurant features page).
Delivery-app orders come in through UrbanPiper. This needs a separate UrbanPiper subscription, an Odoo Enterprise subscription and a reseller account with each delivery platform (Odoo 19.0 documentation, UrbanPiper).
Customers can only place QR or kiosk orders while the POS register is open (Odoo 19.0 documentation, Self-ordering).
UK restaurants and groups that want commission-free pickup, delivery and catering ordering under their own brand, with QR order & pay and pay-at-table on the Pro plan
Storekit is a London-based ordering platform for restaurants: branded pickup and delivery ordering on the restaurant's own domain, plus catering pre-orders, QR order & pay, pay-at-table, digital tabs, kiosks and a native branded app on higher plans. The Basic plan for pickup and delivery is free; the pricing page's plan cards show Grow at £99 and Pro at £199 a month, rolling, while its comparison table says 'from £82' and 'from £166'. Storekit takes 0% commission but charges its own card rate on every paid order through storekit Payments.

0% commission on every plan and channel, no setup fee, and a free Basic plan for pickup and delivery with no monthly fee. Basic, Grow and Pro are rolling monthly, cancel any time (pricing page).
One platform for pickup, delivery, catering pre-orders, QR order & pay, pay-at-table, digital tabs, kiosks and a native branded app (App Studio). It works standalone or connects to the till: Deliverect on every plan, Toast, Square, Lightspeed and Stream from Grow, Syrve, Tissl and 3S POS on Pro (pricing page).
Delivery can go to the restaurant's own riders or be dispatched to couriers: Uber Direct and Shipday from Basic, Nash, Pedal Me and Orkestro from Grow (the homepage also names Deliveroo Express), with live tracking for guests (homepage, pricing page).
Every paid order carries Storekit's own card rate, and the current pricing page no longer publishes the figures. The docs list 3.9% + 20p per takeaway order on a rolling plan (2.9% + 20p on a 12-month plan) and 3.9% + 20p on catering.
In-venue and catering ordering need paid plans: QR order & pay, pay-at-table and digital tabs need Pro (£199 a month rolling), catering needs Grow (£99), and POS integrations other than Deliverect start on Grow. App Studio adds £99 a month and kiosks £69 a month plus £30 per extra screen (pricing page).
Loyalty, the till and table bookings come from other systems: loyalty and CRM integrations are not on Basic (Klaviyo, Leat and Como from Grow; Airship and Acteol on Pro), Storekit sits alongside an existing POS rather than replacing it, and bookings come through an OpenTable integration (pricing page, docs).
Small restaurants that want a do-it-yourself website with online ordering, QR dine-in and table reservations built in
Wix Restaurants is the restaurant toolkit inside the Wix website builder: online menus, commission-free ordering for pickup, delivery and QR-code dine-in, table reservations and a loyalty program, all on the restaurant's own Wix site. It suits restaurants that want to build and run their own website and add ordering to it. The ordering app is free to install, but Wix says a site must be upgraded to take online orders and payments; the cheapest plan that accepts payments is Core at $29 a month billed yearly (US price), and card processing fees apply.

Pickup, delivery with the restaurant's own delivery areas and fees, QR-code dine-in ordering and advance orders are managed from one dashboard, with up to 5 separate ordering pages and per-location staff access (Wix Help Center).
Table reservations with a visual floor plan, a points-based loyalty program, coupons, gift cards, multilingual menus and Order with Google are part of the same Wix Restaurants tools (Wix Help Center).
Online orders need an upgraded site: the cheapest plan that accepts payments is Core at $29 a month billed yearly (US). The free plan can only show the menu, and Light ($17) does not include accepting payments (Wix pricing page, Wix Help Center).
DoorDash Drive courier delivery works only in the US and Canada, only for the restaurant's default location, and only with online payment, not cash (Wix Help Center).
Toast and Clover POS can't be connected; Wix lists both as feature requests and suggests a webhook instead. Square is the POS Wix documents, and Square charges an extra 1% on orders paid through other providers (Wix Help Center).
Whether restaurants in Austria can sign up and use it today: a local site, local pricing, local customers or a sign-up open to any country.
What it costs a small restaurant: the monthly price, any commission or per-order fee, and contracts.
What it does for ordering: your own website, QR table ordering, delivery, pickup and payments.
Menuthere is on the list because it is a real option here, and we put it where its strengths — no commission and a free plan — fit; its limits (such as payments outside India) are stated in its entry.
Nobody paid to be on this list. Prices change: check each company's own page before you sign.
