The 10 best online ordering systems for restaurants in Italy.
Restaurants in Italy take orders on their own websites, apps and tables through local and regional systems such as Plateform, xMenu and Cassa in Cloud. Of the 9 systems compared here besides Menuthere, 6 say they take no commission on orders and 1 has a free plan; the rest charge a monthly fee or quote per restaurant.
Menuthere publishes this list and makes one of the systems on it (number 3). Every figure comes from the companies' own pages, dated and listed on each system's page. How we ranked them is at the foot of the page.

Monthly or yearly licence, paid in advance by SEPA direct debit or card, and it renews automatically. The FAQ says you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the billing period, with no penalty. The terms of sale say notice of non-renewal must be given within 30 days of the expiry date.
No minimum term on packages billed by turnover (a percentage, or a monthly fee tiered by turnover): you can cancel at any time by setting ordering to unavailable in the dashboard or by registered letter, and may have to return the printer. Quarterly, half-yearly or annual subscription packages run for that period. Billing is monthly to yearly, in advance or in arrears, and invoices are due within 15 days (terms and conditions).
Month to month; 7-day free trial on Lite and Pro
Not stated on the current page. An archived copy (January 2025) listed every plan as a price per year, plus VAT.
Displayed prices are for yearly plans paid upfront; other subscription periods are available; 14-day money-back guarantee
Depends on the country. Germany: 36-, 12- or 3-month terms (shorter terms cost more). France: 12 months, 3 months or no commitment. Italy: 12 months, 6 months or no commitment. Spain (DISH Premium): 12 months, 6 months or no commitment. Poland and Croatia: 12 months or no commitment. The Austrian, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian and Slovak pages show no term.
YellGO's general terms for services bought on yellgo.it run for 12 months and renew automatically for another 12 months. To cancel, the restaurant must send notice by registered letter or PEC at least 90 days before the end of the term. Prices rise each year in line with the ISTAT index, and after two years YellGO can raise them by more. A specific commercial offer can set different terms.
Monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically for the same period. It can be cancelled at any time without penalty, but the fee for the current period is not refunded. The 30-day free trial becomes the chosen paid plan unless cancelled before it ends.
The product page promises 'Zero vincoli' (no ties). Contract terms are not published.

Italian restaurants that mainly want table bookings and marketing, with commission-free takeaway, delivery and table orders in the same subscription
Plateform is a booking and marketing platform for Italian restaurants, made by Plateform S.r.l. in Bologna. Its Premium plan includes a module that takes takeaway, delivery and at-the-table (Self Order) orders from the restaurant's own customers, with no commission. Restaurants pay a subscription based on the number of seats; the pricing page's calculator starts at €65 a month on a yearly licence (€85 month to month), plus VAT.

The restaurant chooses whether customers pay when they order or on delivery or pickup (cash or debit card). Online payments use PayPal, Stripe or Satispay, and the money goes straight to the restaurant's account before it confirms the order.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Scheduled orders · Online payments · Loyalty · Marketing tools · WhatsApp ordering or updates · Multiple locations · Menu translation · Reservations
No commission on takeaway, delivery or Self Order (table) orders. Customers can pay online by PayPal, Stripe or Satispay, or in cash or by card on pickup (Plateform ordering page).
One subscription covers table bookings (including Reserve with Google), a customer list, loyalty points, gift cards and email, SMS and WhatsApp campaigns, as well as ordering (pricing page).
Ordering tools include a dedicated order page, a multilingual menu with variants and add-ons, QR codes for tables, automatic printing on 80mm kitchen printers, delivery distance limits, minimum order, delivery fees and a cap on orders every 15 minutes (ordering and digital menu pages).
Online ordering is not in the free plan. Plateform Free covers table bookings only, and 'Ordini delivery e take-away' is greyed out on it.
There is no time-limited free trial. The FAQ points to Plateform Free or a demo instead.
It is built for Italy. The site is in Italian, Plateform describes itself as serving Italian restaurateurs, and its terms are under Italian law with disputes heard in Bologna.
Italian delivery and takeaway restaurants and chains that want their own native app, with Glovo riders on call for deliveries
xMenu is a Verona company that builds each restaurant its own branded ordering app for the App Store and Google Play, plus a web ordering page, for delivery and takeaway. Its clients include Italian pizzerias, sushi and poké shops and chains such as Flower Burger and Sushi Corner, and it says it serves over 700 restaurants and 70,000 orders a month. Prices start at €39 a month plus VAT; the terms say the fee can be fixed, a percentage of the turnover made through xMenu, or a monthly fee tiered by that turnover, plus a one-time activation fee.

Not published. xMenu's terms say that, depending on the package, the fee is a fixed fee, a percentage of the turnover made through xMenu, or a monthly fee tiered by that turnover.
Online payments
Online payments through Nexi (xMenu says it is Nexi's main e-commerce partner), Satispay, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The pricing page lists meal vouchers (Ticket Restaurant) as a feature, and Up Day is among its payment partners.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Online payments · Loyalty · Marketing tools · Branded app · Multiple locations · Reservations
Each restaurant gets its own native app on the App Store and Google Play, not a web app, plus a web ordering page. The Italian App Store lists about 200 apps from xMenu srl, nearly all for individual restaurants. Chains can use one app for all their outlets: the Pokéria By Nima app lists 17.
Delivery can be handed to Glovo on Demand for a fixed fee per delivery, alongside or instead of the restaurant's own riders. xMenu says it is Glovo's main on-demand partner in Italy, and it also works with Stuart and PonyU. Restaurants get their own apps to manage the service and deliveries (Manager xMenu, xMenu Gestione Consegne).
It connects to tills and order hubs (Cassa in Cloud, Tilby, iPratico, Digital Blu, Passepartout, Deliverart, Deliverect) and Epson printers. Tilby lists xMenu as an integration that sends delivery orders straight to the till.
The website publishes only a starting price. Restaurants fill in a demo form to get prices, and the package can be a percentage of turnover at a rate that is not published.
Set-up costs a one-time activation fee of €100 to €400, and the order printer costs €150 to €300. All prices exclude VAT.
It is built for Italy. The terms follow Italian law, with Mantova as the court, and sign-up asks for Italian e-invoicing details (SDI code or PEC). Its delivery partners are promoted for Italian cities.

Italian bars, restaurants and chains that want a tax-compliant tablet till, their own ordering app and delivery-platform orders in one system
Cassa in Cloud (formerly Cassanova) is TeamSystem's cloud till and management system for Italian bars, restaurants, pizzerias and chains, running on iPad or Android tablets. Its Self Order App add-on gives the restaurant its own iOS/Android app or web ordering page for delivery, takeaway and QR table ordering, alongside delivery-platform orders, table booking and loyalty in the same system. It is sold as Starter, Professional and Enterprise subscriptions; the current site publishes no prices, and an archived copy from January 2025 showed €480 to €1,200 a year plus VAT.

In the Self Order App, customers pay by credit card, with Cassa in Cloud credit (on a loyalty card) or on delivery. QR pay-at-table, the payment page on the customer display and remote payment links run through TS Pay. TS Pay accepts cards, Satispay, PayPal and Apple Pay. Bank card terminals connect to the till over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi/Ethernet and receive the amount to charge.
The Self Order App gives a restaurant its own app for iOS and Android, or a web version that works in the browser. It is synced with the till and handles delivery, takeaway and ordering from a QR code at the table. The App Store lists dozens of restaurant apps (for example L'Oca Golosa and Gelateria 3Bis ITA) published by TwinLogix, the developer of the Cassa in Cloud app.
Orders from Glovo, Deliveroo, Uber Eats and other platforms arrive in the same till as phone and app orders. Menus and prices can be updated on those platforms from the Cassa in Cloud cloud portal.
It is built for Italian tax rules. Unlimited e-invoicing and electronic receipts are included on every plan, and daily takings (corrispettivi) are sent to the Agenzia delle Entrate automatically. The tablet app keeps working offline.
The current pricing page publishes no prices, and Enterprise is by contact only. The Self Order App, which is the online-ordering part, is a separate add-on with no published price.
The cheapest plan, Starter, does not include the Self Order App, QR pay at table, the kitchen display or loyalty programmes. Managing several locations needs Enterprise.
It is built for Italy. Tax compliance is designed around Italian rules, and TeamSystem says support, training and documentation are all in Italian.
Small restaurants that want a do-it-yourself website with online ordering, QR dine-in and table reservations built in
Wix Restaurants is the restaurant toolkit inside the Wix website builder: online menus, commission-free ordering for pickup, delivery and QR-code dine-in, table reservations and a loyalty program, all on the restaurant's own Wix site. It suits restaurants that want to build and run their own website and add ordering to it. The ordering app is free to install, but Wix says a site must be upgraded to take online orders and payments; the cheapest plan that accepts payments is Core at $29 a month billed yearly (US price), and card processing fees apply.

Wix Payments (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and more) for businesses in 15 countries: the US, Canada, UK, Brazil, Switzerland and 10 euro countries. Elsewhere, one of 100+ third-party providers such as PayPal, Stripe, MercadoPago, Razorpay, iyzico or Yoco; only one provider can process credit cards at a time. Square can be connected as the POS and payment provider. Customers can also pay cash.

No commission on online orders: Wix calls its restaurant ordering system commission-free, and the Restaurants Orders app is free to install (Wix restaurant page, Wix App Market).
Pickup, delivery with the restaurant's own delivery areas and fees, QR-code dine-in ordering and advance orders are managed from one dashboard, with up to 5 separate ordering pages and per-location staff access (Wix Help Center).
Table reservations with a visual floor plan, a points-based loyalty program, coupons, gift cards, multilingual menus and Order with Google are part of the same Wix Restaurants tools (Wix Help Center).
Online orders need an upgraded site: the cheapest plan that accepts payments is Core at $29 a month billed yearly (US). The free plan can only show the menu, and Light ($17) does not include accepting payments (Wix pricing page, Wix Help Center).
DoorDash Drive courier delivery works only in the US and Canada, only for the restaurant's default location, and only with online payment, not cash (Wix Help Center).
Toast and Clover POS can't be connected; Wix lists both as feature requests and suggests a webhook instead. Square is the POS Wix documents, and Square charges an extra 1% on orders paid through other providers (Wix Help Center).
Restaurants in Germany, Austria and other European METRO markets that want a fixed-price ordering widget for their own website and Google listing
DISH Order (sold as DISH Professional Order) is a commission-free online ordering system from DISH Digital Solutions, the restaurant-software company of the wholesaler METRO. Restaurants take delivery and pickup orders through a widget on their own website, their Google listing and their Facebook and Instagram pages, and handle them on a DISH order terminal. It costs a fixed monthly fee (from €49 a month in Germany, excluding VAT) plus a one-time setup fee, and DISH takes 1.89% of the takings on orders paid online.

Restaurants turn on online payments in the DISH Order dashboard through DISH's own payment onboarding (payout to the restaurant's IBAN). Guests can pay by PayPal, credit card or Girokarte at 1.89% of gross takings, or in cash on pickup. DISH also sells mobile card readers for payment at the door, which need an extra SIM subscription.
Includes: Own ordering website · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · Marketing tools · Reservations
No commission and no per-order fee: a fixed monthly price, from €49 a month in Germany on a 36-month term (DISH Order pricing page).
Guests can order from the restaurant's Google listing as well as from a widget on any website, and order buttons can be added to Facebook and Instagram (DISH help centre).
Delivery zones drawn on a map or set by postcode, delivery fees by order value, pre-orders and coupons are built in (DISH help centre).
A one-time setup fee on new contracts: €299 in Germany and Austria, €199 in France and Spain.
The lowest German price needs a 36-month contract; it rises to €59 a month on 12 months and €64 on 3 months.
Online payments cost 1.89% of gross takings on top of the monthly fee.
Italian restaurants and pizzerias that want a commission-free delivery and takeaway site, with Just Eat, Deliveroo and Glovo orders and a fiscal till in the same system
YellGO is a cloud platform from Milan that gives a restaurant its own ordering website (the WebAPP) for delivery and takeaway, plus paid modules: a branded iOS/Android app, QR table ordering, a kiosk, table booking and a tablet till that issues Italian fiscal receipts. It is sold to Italian pizzerias, sushi and burger restaurants, bars, beach clubs and local food festivals. It charges flat monthly fees per module (the WebAPP starts at €40 a month plus VAT, paid a year in advance) and says it takes nothing from the restaurant's turnover.

Each store switches payment methods on or off separately for the website, the app, self-order and the till: cash on delivery, card on delivery, PayPal, Stripe (with Apple Pay and Google Pay), Viva Wallet, Nexi, Satispay and Banca Sella, plus invoice, meal vouchers and bank transfer. The restaurant enters its own provider credentials (API keys, merchant ID) in the YellGO back office. YellGOPAY (from €15 a month) lets diners scan a QR code to pay the whole bill, split it evenly or pay an amount of their choice.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · WhatsApp ordering or updates · Branded app · Delivery-app integration · Multiple locations · Menu translation · Reservations
No commission. YellGO says it takes and asks nothing from the restaurant's turnover and charges flat monthly module fees instead. The WebAPP starts at €40 a month plus VAT when paid a year in advance.
The YellGO till runs on any tablet and handles takeaway, delivery, table, self-order, app and delivery-partner orders in one place. It issues fiscal receipts through an Epson printer or digital receipts sent to the Agenzia delle Entrate.
Orders from Just Eat, Deliveroo and Glovo arrive in the same panel (from €20 a month per integration). YellGO can also send orders to other tills, including Cassa in Cloud, Tilby, iPratico, Syrve and Flood.
YellGO's general terms for services bought on yellgo.it set a 12-month contract that renews automatically. It can only be cancelled by registered letter or PEC at least 90 days before renewal, and prices rise each year with the ISTAT index. List prices assume a year paid in advance; shorter billing periods cost 5% to 20% more.
Many features are paid add-ons on top of the €40 site: discounts and loyalty (€15 a month), automatic promotions (€25 a month), WhatsApp notifications (€15 a month plus an activation fee) and rider tracking (from €30 a month). All prices exclude VAT, and multibrand is quoted per project.
It is built for Italy. Buying online requires a valid VAT number (partita IVA), the contract exists only in Italian, and YellGO says its aim is to consolidate its position in the Italian market.
Italian bars, cafés, beach clubs and event venues that want QR order-and-pay, a fiscal till and card payments in one app
Qromo is a cloud till and management app from Cromo S.r.l. in Milan. It combines a smartphone or tablet till, Italian fiscal receipts, card payments, a QR digital menu, QR order-and-pay, pay at the table, and takeaway and delivery ordering. It is sold to Italian bars, restaurants, beach clubs and event organisers as a subscription: a free plan, then €29 to €99 a month billed yearly. Qromo also takes its own fee on each card payment, and 1% or more on QR and link orders paid in cash or by other non-card methods.

1% of the order on QR-code or link orders that customers pay in cash, by crypto or with meal vouchers (Pro and All in one). Satispay costs its base fee + 1%. Orders paid online by card carry 1.99% + €0.20 instead (see card processing).
Online payments
Online payments on QR and link orders run through Stripe Payments Europe, connected through Qromo. The restaurant chooses what customers can use: credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Satispay, meal vouchers, Bitcoin or cash. In the venue, cards are taken on Qromo POS readers (Stripe BBPOS WisePOS) or with Tap to Pay on iPhone. Qromo's takeaway and delivery guides advise accepting only orders already paid by card.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Scheduled orders · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · WhatsApp ordering or updates · Delivery-app integration · Menu translation · Reservations
A free-forever plan covers a till with unlimited electronic receipts and e-invoices. Every paid plan has a 30-day free trial and no setup fee (qromo.it pricing page, plans guide).
One app runs the fiscal till, card payments, QR order-and-pay, pay at the table and a 'Salta Cassa' mode, where customers pay by phone and collect with a digital ticket. On Pro and All in one it also takes takeaway and delivery orders in set time slots, including orders for a future date. All in one adds table bookings and a kitchen display (pricing page, Salta Cassa page, help centre).
Customers order from a QR code or a link without downloading an app or signing up. From the Basic plan, the menu is translated automatically into 50 languages (Menù Digitale and Ordini e Pagamenti pages, pricing page).
Online ordering is not in the cheaper plans. QR order-and-pay, takeaway and delivery need Pro (€49 a month billed yearly, €59 monthly) or All in one (€99/€119). On Basic (€29/€39) the digital menu is view only (pricing page, plans guide, help centre).
Qromo takes 1% of QR and link orders paid in cash, by crypto or with meal vouchers, and 1.99% + €0.20 on online card payments. Amex, foreign and business cards cost 1% more, and Klarna costs 6% more. Under its terms these fees are still due on cancelled orders, refunds are paid net of fees, and a restaurant can request at most two refunds per working day (terms, pricing page).
Hardware choice is limited. Order printers must be bought from Qromo's hardware shop, and the pricing FAQ names only the Epson FP-81 RTII as a fiscal printer a restaurant can bring (Ordini e Pagamenti FAQ, pricing FAQ).
Italian restaurants, pizzerias and bars on a Zucchetti till (Tilby, ZMenu, Il Conto and others) that want commission-free QR, takeaway and delivery ordering in the same system
Alvòlo is Zucchetti Hospitality's self-order app for Italian pizzerias, fast-food outlets, restaurants, bars, gelaterias and pastry shops. Customers scan a QR code to order at the table, under a beach umbrella or from home for pickup or delivery, and the orders arrive in Zucchetti's own till software, where the menu is also built. Zucchetti promises 'zero commission, zero constraints' but publishes no prices: restaurants ask for information or contact a Zucchetti partner.

The product page shows Stripe, Nexi, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Satispay, PayPal and ZPay, and says customers can pay from their smartphone. Zucchetti's Alvòlo page adds 'Paga Alvòlo': customers pay at the table on the waiter's device by card, smartphone or smartwatch, and the payment syncs with the till. The 2020 site also offered cash, and the App Store description (January 2024 copy) said customers pay by credit card or in cash on delivery.
Includes: Own ordering website · QR table ordering · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Online payments · POS · Loyalty · Marketing tools · WhatsApp ordering or updates · Branded app · Delivery-app integration · Reservations
No commission on orders. The product page says 'Zero vincoli, Zero commissioni', and Zucchetti's Alvòlo page says the fee does not rise however many orders a restaurant receives.
It lives inside Zucchetti's till software. The menu, prices and variants are created in the till, table bookings arrive at the till, and loyalty points sync with it automatically. The site shows ZMenu, Il Conto, Posby, Sellby, TCPOS and Tilby.
One QR system covers ordering at the table, under a beach umbrella or from home, on an app Zucchetti describes as dedicated only to the restaurant. The restaurant sets opening hours, kitchen capacity and its delivery radius, and customers pay on their phone (product page, Zucchetti's Alvòlo page).
No prices are published. The site only offers an information request or contact with a Zucchetti partner, and free installation applies only to restaurants that already use a Zucchetti hospitality solution.
It is tied to Zucchetti's own till software. Zucchetti's Alvòlo page lists its integrations as Zucchetti Hospitality solutions (Posby, Tilby, Zmenu, IlConto), and the privacy policy says order data goes to Zucchetti Hospitality's management software (ZMenù, IlConto, Posby, RistoQuick, PosMaster3, Tilby, Ristorandro, OFSale).
It is built for Italy. The site's English, German, French and Spanish links serve the same Italian page, and the privacy policy says data is processed in Italy.
Italian restaurants and pizzerias that deliver with their own riders and want web, phone, Just Eat, Glovo and Deliveroo orders on one screen
Deliverart is delivery-management software from Rome. Orders from its own commission-free ordering web app, from the phone and from Just Eat, Glovo and Deliveroo arrive on one screen, alongside a rider app, automatic delivery rounds and a kitchen display. It is aimed at Italian restaurants, pizzerias, chains and dark kitchens that deliver, and it is sold as a yearly subscription: €360 or €600 a year, or €970 a year per location, plus VAT, on the archived pricing page. On the cheapest plan the ordering web app is quoted separately.

In the Deliverart ordering web app, customers can pay online through Nexi XPay (on the restaurant's own XPay account) or PayPal, or pay cash on delivery. Deliverart is not a till: it links to the restaurant's own till (Tilby; a Cassa in Cloud link was listed as coming in December 2025) and prints to EPSON printers.
Includes: Own ordering website · Pickup · Delivery orders · Your own drivers · Scheduled orders · Online payments · Delivery-app integration · Multiple locations
Deliverart says its ordering web app for delivery and takeaway takes no commission, from the restaurant or its customers. The restaurant pays nothing for the domain, programming or maintenance, and customers can only order for delivery times that are actually free.
Orders from the web app, the phone, Just Eat, Glovo and Deliveroo arrive on one screen, and one central menu updates the platforms. The home page says more than 1,000 venues are active on it.
It is built for restaurants with their own riders. The Deliverart Rider app has a shift calendar, turn-by-turn navigation and live location tracking. Delivery rounds are organised automatically, and a kitchen display (DODS) sets the order of preparation.
On Start the ordering web app is not included (it is quoted separately). It first comes with Premium at €600 a year plus VAT, and the pricing page lists a customised web app only under All Inclusive at €970 a year per location.
Premium includes only Just Eat and Deliveroo. Glovo integration is quoted separately, and Premium gets only one extra integration (a till, an ordering app, invoicing or a printer). The rider app is limited to 3 riders on Start and 7 on Premium.
There is no self-serve sign-up. Restaurants request a demo, and activation takes 10 to 15 working days on average.
Whether restaurants in Italy can sign up and use it today: a local site, local pricing, local customers or a sign-up open to any country.
What it costs a small restaurant: the monthly price, any commission or per-order fee, and contracts.
What it does for ordering: your own website, QR table ordering, delivery, pickup and payments.
Menuthere is on the list because it is a real option here, and we put it where its strengths — no commission and a free plan — fit; its limits (such as payments outside India) are stated in its entry.
Nobody paid to be on this list. Prices change: check each company's own page before you sign.
Questions
