The 10 best online ordering systems for restaurants in the UK.
Restaurants in the UK take orders on their own websites, apps and tables through local and regional systems such as Storekit, Square Online and Toast. Of the 9 systems compared here besides Menuthere, 3 say they take no commission on orders and 2 have a free plan; the rest charge a monthly fee or quote per restaurant.
Menuthere publishes this list and makes one of the systems on it (number 3). Every figure comes from the companies' own pages, dated and listed on each system's page. How we ranked them is at the foot of the page.

Online ordering systems for restaurants in the UK, compared
Not clearly published. The online-ordering FAQ says there is 'no commission on your own orders' and the POS FAQ says 'no commission on orders', but the same online-ordering page promises 'lower commission fees', and the retailer terms list transaction fees set in each order form. In October 2025 RTÉ reported that Foodhub charges a fixed weekly fee rather than a percentage of the order value.
Not published: Flipdish takes its own fees on each online and cash order (its help centre calls them Flipdish fees and commission), at the rate set in each restaurant's agreement
6% to 11% of weekly website and app turnover, falling as turnover rises (5% to 10% on orders placed through Google; UK and Ireland notices, April 2025). It is charged on cash and card orders, on orders the restaurant rejects, and on the customer handling and delivery fees.
A platform fee on each order, described by Slerp as a small percentage that varies by plan and order type; the current rate is not published and is set in each restaurant's agreement. Slerp's homepage says it offers plans with 0% commission, QR table orders carry no platform fee, and marketplace orders passed through Slerp Menu Manager attract no commission.
Order & Pay (powered by Yoello): none; Epos Now says Yoello charges no additional fees for any order. Epos Now Online Ordering: a published rate of 2.00% + 10p per order in the UK (1.75% + 10c in Ireland, Australia and New Zealand; 3.15% + 30c in the US and Canada); the page does not say whether this rate includes card processing.
Not published (quote only)
Contract
Basic, Grow and Pro are rolling monthly, cancel any time; Enterprise runs on an agreed term (pricing page). The fee docs also describe a 'monthly' billing type that is a 12-month commitment with a lower transaction rate.
No locked-in contract; cancel or switch plans anytime (US pricing page and General Terms). Outside the US, paid Square Online plans are priced per month billed annually, with a different price if paid monthly, and plans can be switched at any time.
Month to month; 7-day free trial on Lite and Pro
Toast's 10-K says contracts for its software generally run 12 to 36 months. NerdWallet reports contracts of two to three years.
Rolls over every 12 months after a first period. Clause 5 of the website terms dated 27 March 2026 sets that period at 8 weeks (clause 6.12 of the same terms calls it four months); the retailer terms PDF sets it at 4 months. To cancel under the website terms, you give 30 days' written notice ending on the last day of the period, return the equipment and pay any balance (the retailer terms PDF asks for 30 business days' notice). If you don't return equipment under two years old, the fee is £500.
12-month initial term that renews automatically for 12 months unless cancelled in writing at least 3 months before the end; leaving early means paying the average of the last 6 months' fees for each month left in the term (Terms 5.1 and 5.4). The subscription can be billed monthly or annually.
12-month minimum term; after that the restaurant gives notice that takes effect 3 months from the end of the month (OrderYOYO can end it on 1 month's notice). Unless agreed otherwise, the order printer is lent for a 3-month run-in, then the restaurant must buy it (UK and Ireland terms).
Typically 12 or 24 months, with rolling terms available; the branded app is built at no cost on a 12- or 24-month term. Under a signed Partner Agreement the monthly fee is due for every location for the whole term, the agreement renews automatically unless notice is given, a monthly minimum fee can apply, and leaving early means paying an Early Termination Sum for the remaining months (Terms 2, 10.9 and 11.4). Without a signed Partner Agreement the terms run month to month with 30 days' notice.
UK: the discounted bundle requires a 12-month payments, care and support subscription. Ireland: the discounted price requires a 2-year subscription plan. Epos Now says there are no long-term contracts with its Payments service.

UK restaurants and groups that want commission-free pickup, delivery and catering ordering under their own brand, with QR order & pay and pay-at-table on the Pro plan
Storekit is a London-based ordering platform for restaurants: branded pickup and delivery ordering on the restaurant's own domain, plus catering pre-orders, QR order & pay, pay-at-table, digital tabs, kiosks and a native branded app on higher plans. The Basic plan for pickup and delivery is free; the pricing page's plan cards show Grow at £99 and Pro at £199 a month, rolling, while its comparison table says 'from £82' and 'from £166'. Storekit takes 0% commission but charges its own card rate on every paid order through storekit Payments.

storekit Payments, powered by Adyen, takes cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and regional payment methods (a June 2025 copy of the help centre has articles on accepting Klarna and on iDEAL in the Netherlands). Payouts arrive about two working days after the sales day. Payment currencies: GBP, EUR, USD, CAD, AUD, NZD, CHF, SEK, DKK, NOK, ZAR and ALL. The docs list Poland, Mexico, Turkey and Morocco as supported countries without storekit Payments.

0% commission on every plan and channel, no setup fee, and a free Basic plan for pickup and delivery with no monthly fee. Basic, Grow and Pro are rolling monthly, cancel any time (pricing page).
One platform for pickup, delivery, catering pre-orders, QR order & pay, pay-at-table, digital tabs, kiosks and a native branded app (App Studio). It works standalone or connects to the till: Deliverect on every plan, Toast, Square, Lightspeed and Stream from Grow, Syrve, Tissl and 3S POS on Pro (pricing page).
Delivery can go to the restaurant's own riders or be dispatched to couriers: Uber Direct and Shipday from Basic, Nash, Pedal Me and Orkestro from Grow (the homepage also names Deliveroo Express), with live tracking for guests (homepage, pricing page).
Every paid order carries Storekit's own card rate, and the current pricing page no longer publishes the figures. The docs list 3.9% + 20p per takeaway order on a rolling plan (2.9% + 20p on a 12-month plan) and 3.9% + 20p on catering.
In-venue and catering ordering need paid plans: QR order & pay, pay-at-table and digital tabs need Pro (£199 a month rolling), catering needs Grow (£99), and POS integrations other than Deliverect start on Grow. App Studio adds £99 a month and kiosks £69 a month plus £30 per extra screen (pricing page).
Loyalty, the till and table bookings come from other systems: loyalty and CRM integrations are not on Basic (Klaviyo, Leat and Como from Grow; Airship and Acteol on Pro), Storekit sits alongside an existing POS rather than replacing it, and bookings come through an OpenTable integration (pricing page, docs).
Restaurants and cafés already on Square POS in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, Japan, France or Spain that want a free, commission-free ordering page
Square Online is Square's ordering website and online store builder: a restaurant gets an ordering page (in the US called an online ordering profile) whose orders go straight into Square POS, the kitchen printer or Square KDS. It is for restaurants, cafés, bakeries and food trucks that use Square payments in the 8 countries Square serves. The Free plan has no monthly fee and no commission, only Square's card processing fee per order; paid plans (in the US, Square Plus from $49 a month per location) add QR table ordering, loyalty and email marketing, and in the US a lower online card rate.

Square processes every online payment itself: credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Cash App Pay in the US; Square Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay in Australia and Canada; Square Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Clearpay in the UK. The restaurant needs a Square account.

Online orders arrive in Square POS and go to the kitchen printer or Square KDS, and menus, items and stock stay in sync between online and in-store sales (Square online ordering pages).

Online payments go through Square at Square's rates; in the US the Free plan charges 3.3% + 30¢ per online card payment, against 2.9% + 30¢ on paid plans (Square pricing page).
QR table ordering, loyalty, email marketing and a custom domain need a paid plan: Square Plus at $49 a month per location in the US; in Australia QR ordering and pre-orders need Plus at A$36 a month, billed annually (Square pricing and plan pages).
Only available in the 8 countries Square serves (Square About page).

Restaurants in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland or Australia that want POS, online ordering and table QR ordering from one vendor and can sign a multi-year contract
Toast is a restaurant POS from Boston-based Toast, Inc. with commission-free online ordering built in: a Toast-hosted ordering page for pickup, curbside and delivery, QR order-and-pay at the table, and optional Toast websites and branded apps. It sells to restaurants in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland and Australia. Toast charges a monthly software fee (in the US, $0 on the pay-as-you-go Starter Kit or from $69 a month; in the UK from £80), sells online ordering as a paid Digital Storefront add-on, and runs card payments through its own integrated payments.

Guests pay online by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover), Apple Pay (only in Safari) or a Toast gift card, through Toast's integrated payments at the card-not-present rate. Restaurants can also allow cash for online orders. Guests cannot split an online order across two cards, and express checkout with a Toast account is only available to guests in the US.
Toast calls its online ordering commission-free: orders flow into the Toast POS the same way in-house orders do, and the restaurant keeps 100% of the revenue with no per-order commission (Toast help centre). Card processing still applies.
Delivery can use the restaurant's own drivers, with its own fees and minimums, or, in the US, Toast Delivery Services (Uber Direct or DoorDash Drive drivers) at a flat fee from $6.99 per delivery. Toast Delivery Services has no commitment, can be switched off at any time, and the restaurant chooses how much of the fee to pass on to guests.
One platform covers QR order-and-pay at the table (Toast Mobile Order & Pay), scheduled future orders, Toast Tables reservations and waitlist, loyalty, email and SMS marketing, Toast websites, a branded iOS or Android app, and Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub integrations. Most of these are paid add-ons or higher suites (Toast pricing page, Toast Suites Overview).
Online ordering is not included in any plan, not even the $0 Starter Kit. It is sold as a Digital Storefront add-on; a website needs the Pro tier and a branded app needs Premium (Toast pricing page, Toast Suites Overview). Toast does not publish the add-on price, and NerdWallet says it is quote-based.
Contracts for Toast's software generally run 12 to 36 months (Toast 10-K), and NerdWallet reports contracts of two to three years.
Setup costs extra: in the US, $1,000 per on-site installation day, $800 per remote day and $125 for an Online Ordering setup consult (Toast onboarding rates).
UK and Irish takeaways that want a branded ordering site and app, EPOS, card machine and driver app from one supplier on a weekly rental
Foodhub for Business is a UK company that gives takeaways and restaurants a branded ordering website and app, plus EPOS, kiosks, card machines, a delivery driver app and a listing on its own Foodhub marketplace app. It sells mainly to takeaways in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada, through a sales call or demo. Prices are quote only: its UK terms charge a weekly rental and a one-off setup fee, on a contract that rolls over every 12 months after a short first period.

Online payments
Customers pay online by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Pay-by-link and QR payments are also available. The UK terms name My Pay Limited t/a Datman as the payment gateway that processes card transactions and pays out weekly. The integrations page also lists Adyen, Stripe, Square, Windcave, Epx, ValorPay and Dejavoo.

No public prices: restaurants must ask for a quote. The UK terms charge a weekly rental by Direct Debit, a one-off setup fee and SMS costs, each set per agreement (Foodhub terms, 27 March 2026).
The contract rolls over every 12 months after the first period. Cancelling needs 30 days' notice timed to the end of the period, return of equipment and a cleared balance (Foodhub terms, clauses 5 and 14).
The terms say the rights in the system, including domain names and database content, belong to Foodhub, and the restaurant's access ends on termination (Foodhub terms, clauses 11.4 and 14.7.2).
Takeaways and chains in Ireland, the UK, Spain or the US that want a branded website, app, kiosks and POS from one supplier and are happy with an annual contract
Flipdish is an Irish restaurant platform that gives takeaways and restaurants their own branded ordering website, mobile app, self-service kiosks and QR table ordering, plus its own POS and card payments. It sells through a sales team to independent restaurants, franchises and chains, with local sites and prices for Ireland, the UK, Spain and the US. Sends online orders into POS systems such as Toast, Square, Clover, Lightspeed, Epos Now and Revel, and to couriers such as Uber Direct, Stuart, Nash and VROMO (Flipdish integrations and pricing pages).
Not commission-free: Flipdish takes its own fees on every order, including cash orders, on top of the subscription, and does not publish the rate (Flipdish help centre).
12-month contract that renews automatically unless cancelled 3 months before the end; leaving early means paying the average monthly fees for the rest of the term (Flipdish Terms of Service).
No self-serve sign-up or free plan: every account goes through the sales team, with a set-up fee and possible hardware and implementation costs (Flipdish sign-up page, Terms and pricing FAQ).
UK, Irish and Danish takeaways that want a done-for-you branded website, app, POS and marketing, paid by commission rather than a monthly fee
OrderYOYO is a Copenhagen company that builds branded ordering websites and iOS/Android apps for takeaways, and adds its own YOYO POS, self-service kiosks, YOYOPay card payments and done-for-you marketing. It sells to independent takeaways and quick-service restaurants in the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Germany and Austria (in Germany also under the order smart brand); Pollen Street Capital bought it in 2025, and it has since bought the Dutch firms Foodticket (2025) and Cashdesk (2026). It publishes no price list: restaurants pay an agreed set-up fee and a weekly commission of about 6% to 11% of website and app turnover (UK and Ireland notices), and customers pay a service fee on each order.
Price

Commission
6% to 11% of weekly website and app turnover, falling as turnover rises (5% to 10% on orders placed through Google; UK and Ireland notices, April 2025). It is charged on cash and card orders, on orders the restaurant rejects, and on the customer handling and delivery fees.
Online payments
Online card payments on the website and app are processed through OrderYOYO's own payment platform, and the restaurant is paid weekly; customers can also pay cash, which drivers mark as paid in YOYO POS. In store and at the door, YOYOPay takes contactless payments with Tap to Pay on iPhone, the YOYOPay app or a card machine OrderYOYO can supply (0.99% per transaction), and YOYO POS can also connect a Zettle card reader.
One supplier for the branded website, iOS and Android app, YOYO POS (handheld Lite or desktop Pro), self-service kiosk and YOYOPay card payments, all feeding one order system (OrderYOYO product pages).
Commission falls as weekly website and app turnover rises (to 7% in the UK and 6% in Ireland at the top level), and orders placed through Google pay 1 point less (OrderYOYO fee notices, April 2025).
Done-for-you setup and marketing: custom design, a local business development manager, Google Ads, SMS, email and a points-based loyalty scheme; support every day from 11am to 11pm by WhatsApp, chat, email and phone (OrderYOYO website).
Not commission-free: 6% to 11% of website and app turnover, charged on cash as well as card orders and even on orders the restaurant rejects (fee notices and UK terms, clauses 5.4 and 5.11).
Tied in for at least 12 months, then 3 months' notice; an agreed set-up fee, and, unless agreed otherwise, the order printer must be bought after a 3-month loan (UK and Ireland terms, clauses 5.3, 9 and 14).
Customers pay a £/€0.75 service fee on every website and app order (OrderYOYO fee notice, April 2025).
UK restaurants, bakeries and multi-site groups that want branded web and app ordering with courier delivery and delivery support handled for them
Slerp is a London-based direct ordering platform that gives restaurants, bakeries, pizzerias and QSRs their own branded ordering website and, on the higher tier, a branded iOS and Android app, with delivery through Uber Direct, Deliveroo Express, JET Go, Stuart and other couriers. It sells through its sales team to single-site and multi-site operators in the United Kingdom only. It charges £125 to £250 a month per site, plus a platform fee on each order that is agreed per restaurant, plus card processing through Slerp Pay, usually on a 12- or 24-month term.
Price
From £125/mo

A platform fee on each order, described by Slerp as a small percentage that varies by plan and order type; the current rate is not published and is set in each restaurant's agreement. Slerp's homepage says it offers plans with 0% commission, QR table orders carry no platform fee, and marketplace orders passed through Slerp Menu Manager attract no commission.
Online payments
All online payments go through Slerp Pay, a Stripe Express Connect account set up through Slerp; Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported and payouts are weekly, every Monday.

On delivery orders, Slerp's live operations team monitors every job, re-dispatches failed couriers and gives the restaurant's customers live chat support, 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm, on every plan at no extra charge (Slerp information page).
Loyalty with points or stamps, online and in store, and Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes is included on every plan; the higher tier adds a branded iOS and Android app (Slerp information page).
Works in the United Kingdom only, and Slerp says it does not onboard restaurants whose main need is QR table ordering (Slerp information page).
Not commission-free: every plan has a monthly fee and a transaction fee on orders, on top of £125 to £250 a month per site; the rate is not published and the pricing page is password-protected (Slerp information page, GloriaFood alternative page and pricing page).
Card payments must go through Slerp Pay; an existing Stripe account cannot be used (Slerp help centre).
Small and mid-sized restaurants, cafes, pubs and takeaways in the UK and Ireland that want online and QR orders in the same till as their in-store sales
Epos Now is a cloud POS for retail and hospitality from Norwich, UK, with online ordering sold as add-on apps: Epos Now Online Ordering, and Order & Pay (powered by Yoello) for QR table, collection and delivery orders. It suits small and mid-sized restaurants, cafes, pubs and takeaways that want online orders to land in the same till as in-store sales. Pricing is by quote: a hardware bundle plus a monthly subscription (from £54 a month on a 12-month term in the UK), and the Online Ordering app charges a published rate on each order (2.00% + 10p in the UK).
Price
From £54/mo
Commission
Order & Pay (powered by Yoello): none; Epos Now says Yoello charges no additional fees for any order. Epos Now Online Ordering: a published rate of 2.00% + 10p per order in the UK (1.75% + 10c in Ireland, Australia and New Zealand; 3.15% + 30c in the US and Canada); the page does not say whether this rate includes card processing.
Online payments
Customers pay on the ordering page by credit or debit card or digital wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay). Order & Pay is powered by Yoello, an FCA-authorised payment provider whose site says it is powered by Epos Now and which also offers Pay by Bank. In store, Epos Now Payments or another integrated payment provider takes card payments.
Online orders, QR table orders and delivery-app orders all reach the same Epos Now POS: Order & Pay handles table, collection and delivery orders, and Epos Now Delivery (hosted by Otter) sends Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats orders to the POS and kitchen screen.
Order & Pay is advertised as commission-free: Epos Now says Yoello charges no additional fees for any order, and customers order and pay from a QR code or link with no app to download.
The Online Ordering menu supports multiple languages for the homepage, menu and checkout, timed menus, discount codes, tipping and pre-ordered click and collect.
No published price list: the pricing page is a quote form, and the published figures are promotional bundles (from £299 in the UK) that require a 12-month subscription from £54 a month (a 2-year plan in Ireland).
The Online Ordering app takes a rate on every order (2.00% + 10p in the UK, 3.15% + 30c in the US and Canada), and what it costs after the free-days offer is not published.
UK card processing is advertised only as 'from 0.8%' with a rate match; the actual rate comes with the quote.
UK quick-service chains with six or more sites that want POS, kiosks, online ordering and loyalty from one supplier
Vita Mojo is a London-based ordering and operations platform for restaurant chains. Its POS, self-service kiosks, web and app ordering, click and collect, order and pay at table, delivery, loyalty and kitchen screens all run on one menu and order system. It is built for multi-site quick-service brands, mainly in the UK and the Netherlands, and counts Subway, GAIL's, LEON and Honest Burgers as customers. It publishes no prices: its Pricing link leads to a form to book an intro call.

One system for every channel: the POS, kiosks, web and app ordering, click and collect, order and pay at table, and Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats orders share one menu and one kitchen queue, with no middleware between the POS and the kitchen screens.
Loyalty is built in, with points, stamps or tiers that guests earn and redeem at the till, on kiosks and in the app. Marketing teams can run offers and campaigns without IT help, and in the first half of 2026 loyalty was connected to Deliveroo and Uber Eats orders.
Since the first half of 2026, the POS and kitchen screens keep working offline. They talk to each other over the local network, so orders still reach the kitchen when the internet goes down (2026 product roadmap).
No published prices and no self-serve signup. The Pricing link leads to a demo booking form, so costs for software, payments, hardware and installation are only known after a sales call.
Made for chains, not single restaurants. Vita Mojo's own summary says it is best for QSR brands with plans to grow, and its homepage says it is 'built for brands going from six sites to six hundred'.
Narrow market: Vita Mojo describes itself as 'mainly focused on UK and the Netherlands'.
Whether restaurants in the UK can sign up and use it today: a local site, local pricing, local customers or a sign-up open to any country.
What it costs a small restaurant: the monthly price, any commission or per-order fee, and contracts.
What it does for ordering: your own website, QR table ordering, delivery, pickup and payments.
Menuthere is on the list because it is a real option here, and we put it where its strengths — no commission and a free plan — fit; its limits (such as payments outside India) are stated in its entry.
Nobody paid to be on this list. Prices change: check each company's own page before you sign.
