How do I add an order button on Google?
By the Menuthere editorial team · Updated
From your Google Business Profile you can add your own ordering website link and set it as preferred, so the button goes to your direct channel. Google may also show third-party providers (Uber Eats, Glovo…) through its ordering partners even if you didn't add them; adding your own link helps you win those orders back with no commission. Updated October 2026.
- The order button is managed from your Google Business Profile, in the food-ordering section.

Put your own link on Google, commission-free
Menuthere gives you an ordering website, a QR menu and WhatsApp ordering on your own number, at 0% commission and a Free plan at $0. Add that link to your Google listing as the order button and customers order direct, without losing a cut per order.
How do I add the order button to my listing?
Open your Google Business Profile (from Search or Maps while signed in, or in the profile manager). Go to the food-ordering section or edit profile, add your own ordering website link and set it as the preferred link. The button can take a little while to appear. Check from time to time which links Google shows on your listing.
- 1
Open your Business Profile
From Google Search or Maps while signed in, or in the profile manager.
- 2
Go to food ordering
Find the ordering section or the edit-profile area.
- 3
Add your link
Paste your ordering website link and set it as the preferred link.
- 4
Check the result
Confirm the button on your listing and which providers Google shows.
Why do Uber Eats or other apps I didn't add appear?
Because Google has ordering partners and may show third-party providers (Uber Eats, Glovo, DiDi Food…) on your listing even if you didn't add them, when your restaurant is on those apps. You can't always remove them entirely, but you can add your own link and set it as preferred, so the button goes to your direct, commission-free channel.
| Your own link | Third-party app | |
|---|---|---|
| Who runs the order | You | The app |
| Per-order commission | 0% (with Menuthere) | Whatever the app charges |
| Who owns the customer | You | The app |
How do I use the button to avoid commission?
Add your own ordering website link to your listing, not just the apps'. Then customers who find you on Google can order through your direct channel, where you pay a flat fee and 0% commission per order. With Menuthere that link is free to set up on the Free plan (50 orders a month) and keeps each order's full value.
- A commission-free ordering website with your own link.
- A QR menu pointing to the same link.
- WhatsApp ordering on your own number for repeat customers.
- The link in your Instagram and Facebook bio too.
Who this is a good fit for
- Restaurants already on Google that want an order button leading to their own channel.
- Businesses that see third-party apps on their listing and want to offer their direct link too.
- Owners who want to start free and stop losing commission on orders that come via Google.
Who this is not for
- Those without a verified Google listing yet: you first need to create and verify the Business Profile.
- Those who prefer to rely only on third-party apps to run orders and delivery.

Can I remove the third-party apps from my listing?
Not always entirely, because Google shows them through its ordering partners. But you can add your own link and set it as preferred so the button goes to your direct channel.
How long until the button appears?
It can take a little while after you add the link, while Google updates your listing. Check the profile after a few hours or a day.
