How much does Uber Eats take on €10,000 of orders?
By the Menuthere editorial team · Updated
On €10,000 of orders delivered by Uber, commission runs from about €1,500 (Essential, 15%) to €3,300 (Premium, 33%), most often €3,000 on Standard (30%), plus 20% VAT on those fees and €1.99 a week. On Standard that is about €3,600 including VAT. With a flat 0%-commission subscription, the cost doesn't move whatever the turnover. Updated October 2026.
- Uber delivers, Essential 15%: ~€1,500 on €10,000, + 20% VAT = ~€1,800.
- Uber delivers, Standard 30%: ~€3,000, + VAT = ~€3,600; Premium 33%: ~€3,300, + VAT = ~€3,960.
- Add €1.99 a week on every plan, about €8.63 a month.
- 20% VAT is added to the fees; a VAT-registered business can usually deduct it.
- A flat 0%-commission subscription (Menuthere Lite $17/mo, Pro $39/mo, Free $0) stays the same whether you do €10,000 or €50,000.
Keep 100% of your €10,000
Menuthere gives you an ordering website, printable QR codes and WhatsApp ordering on your own number, with 0% commission on every order and a Free plan at $0. On €10,000 of direct sales, commission stays zero; you only pay your subscription and your payment gateway.
The maths: how much on €10,000 exactly?
Uber Eats takes a percentage of each order when its couriers deliver, by plan: 15% (Essential), 30% (Standard) or 33% (Premium). On €10,000 of delivered orders that is €1,500, €3,000 or €3,300 of commission. 20% VAT is added to those fees, and there is €1.99 a week, about €8.63 a month, on every plan.
| Plan | Commission | + 20% VAT | Approx. total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential (15%) | €1,500 | + €300 | ~€1,800 + €1.99/wk |
| Standard (30%) | €3,000 | + €600 | ~€3,600 + €1.99/wk |
| Premium (33%) | €3,300 | + €660 | ~€3,960 + €1.99/wk |
On pickup the rates are lower (15% on Standard, 10% on Premium). The ads you buy and the offers you fund are added, plus VAT. Treat these figures as a ballpark: your contract and your delivery/pickup mix change the total.
And with a flat subscription, what does it look like?
A flat subscription doesn't depend on volume. On €10,000 of direct sales, a 0%-commission site costs you your subscription (for example Menuthere Lite $17/mo or Pro $39/mo), plus your payment gateway's fees, and that's all. The more sales rise, the wider the gap with commission: at €10,000, Uber Eats commission far exceeds a monthly subscription.
| Uber Eats (Standard) | 0%-commission site | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost on €10,000 | ~€3,600 including VAT | Flat subscription + card fees |
| If sales double | Doubles too | The same |

How do I keep that margin without leaving Uber Eats?
Many restaurants keep Uber Eats for discovery and push their regulars to their own commission-free link. Every order that moves to your site saves you the matching commission and VAT. On Menuthere's Free plan there is no subscription up to 50 orders a month.
- A printable QR code on tables and packaging.
- An order link on your Google listing.
- Your WhatsApp number, so regulars reorder in a chat.
- The link in your Instagram and Facebook bio.
Who this is a good fit for
- Restaurants that already do volume and want to stop losing a fixed cut on every order.
- Owners who can send regulars to their own link via QR, Google, Instagram and WhatsApp.
- Those who want a predictable cost that doesn't rise with sales.
Who this is not for
- A brand-new place with no customer base: Uber Eats' marketplace can bring the first orders while you build your channel.
- An owner who wants Uber to run the delivery riders; your own site means your own or a courier's delivery.
Common follow-up questions
Is VAT added to Uber Eats' commission?
Yes. Uber's French terms say its fees exclude VAT and the restaurant pays VAT on top, at the standard 20% rate. On €3,000 of commission that is €600 of VAT, often deductible for a VAT-registered business.
Is the €1.99 a week on top of the commission?
Yes. All three French plans add €1.99 a week, about €8.63 a month, on top of the per-order commission. It is small against the commission on €10,000, but it is due from the first order.
Is a flat subscription always cheaper?
Above a certain volume, yes. Once your orders cover the subscription, every order after that keeps its full value. On €10,000, Uber Eats commission far exceeds a monthly 0%-commission subscription.
