Welcome page
The Welcome page is the first thing a customer sees when they open your store link: a full-screen photo with an optional heading, a line of text and up to two buttons. Use it for a pre-order notice, a new dish or a festival offer. You can add up to five slides, which turn by themselves.

Set up your welcome page
Step 1: Open the tab
Open Settings → Branding and the Welcome page tab. You can also get there from Website › Welcome page.
Step 2: Turn it on
Switch on Show a welcome page. A first slide is added for you to fill in. The Preview on the right shows the slide as customers will see it on a phone.
Step 3: Add a photo
Under Photo, press Upload. A tall photo fills a phone screen best, about 1080 × 1920 px. On wider screens the edges may be cut off, so keep the important part in the middle.
Step 4: Choose how dark the photo is
Darken the photo puts a shade over the photo so white text stays readable: None, Light, Medium or Strong. Choose None for a photo that already has its own words on it.
Step 5: Write your words
Fill in any of Small label, Heading and Text. All three are optional. A slide needs a photo or a heading.
Step 6: Set the buttons and save
Each slide has a Main button and a Second button. Type the Button text; leave it empty to hide that button. Under When tapped, choose Continue to order to take the customer on to ordering, or Open a link and enter the Link. Then press Save.
More slides and the button colour
Press Add another slide for up to five slides. Use the arrows on a slide to change the order, and the bin to remove it. With more than one slide, choose how often the page moves to the next one under Next slide every; customers can also swipe between slides.
Under Look, Button colour sets the colour of the main button and the small label: Brand colour uses your brand colour, and Black suits a photo whose own colour would hide a brand-coloured button.
| When tapped | What happens |
|---|---|
| Continue to order | The welcome page closes and the customer carries on, for example to choosing delivery or takeaway. |
| Open a link | A web address (starting https://) opens in a new tab. A tel: link starts a call and a mailto: link opens an email. |
