Route deliveries by distance
Route by distance splits your deliveries into bands, each with its own carrier. For example, your own rider up to 1 km, an instant third-party rider up to 10 km and Shiprocket beyond. Each band can also set which payment options customers see.

Split deliveries by distance
Step 1: Switch the split on
In Settings → Ordering → Porter & Rapido, find the Route by distance card and switch on Split deliveries by how far they go. It starts with a first boundary at 10 km, or half your radius if your radius is 10 km or less.
Step 2: Set each band's distance and carrier
Each row has an upper distance in km and a carrier: You deliver it, Third-party rider, or Shiprocket when it's available. The last row covers km and beyond. Press Add band for more, up to 5 bands.
Step 3: Choose payment options per band
Each band has a payment menu: Payment: as set, Payment: cash only, Payment: online only or Payment: cash & online. A band that asks for online needs a payment gateway connected. Press Save.
What each band charges
| Carrier | Charged at | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| You deliver it | Your own delivery pricing | A rate card or fee set in Delivery settings, or those orders pay no delivery charge |
| Third-party rider | The live rider quote | Porter, Rapido or a delivery agent connected |
| Shiprocket | The Shiprocket rate | Shiprocket set up. Shiprocket bands ship on your trigger, or with the Ship button on the order. |
