Check your licence
Open the FSSAI licence checker. It is free, needs no sign-up and works on a phone.
Step 1: Say what you do
Under What do you do? choose one: Restaurant or café, Cloud kitchen, Home baker or home kitchen, Caterer, Street food, food truck or hawker, Sweet or bakery shop or Dhaba, canteen or tiffin service.
Step 2: Choose your yearly turnover and answer two questions
Pick your Yearly turnover band. Then answer Do you work in 2 or more States or Union Territories? and Do you run a platform that lists other food businesses and takes their orders? A restaurant that sells on delivery apps answers No to the second.
Step 3: Read your answer
The result names the licence type, the rule that decided it, the Fee, what Renewal means and the Documents to keep ready. The first answer you see is an example until you change something.
Step 4: Take the checklist to FoSCoS
Under How to apply on FoSCoS follow the steps, press Open FoSCoS to go to the FSSAI site, or press Copy the checklist. What to display lists what to show in your premises and on bills.
