Use your own domain
A custom domain puts your menu on an address you own, such as order.yourrestaurant.com, instead of menuthere.com/your-username. You add the domain in Menuthere, copy the DNS records it shows into the company where you bought the domain, then press Check DNS.

Connect your domain
Step 1: Add the domain
Open Settings → Appearance and the Domain tab. Under your current address, press Add a domain. Type it in Your domain, for example menu.mystore.com, and press Save domain. A subdomain such as menu. or order. keeps your main website free.

Step 2: Copy the DNS records
Menuthere lists the DNS records you need, each with a Type, a Name / Host and a Value / Points to, and a copy button. Add them at the company where you bought the domain, in its DNS settings.
Step 3: Check the connection
Press Check DNS. The status changes from Waiting on DNS to Connected once the records have reached everyone. This can take a few hours.
Things to know
- If your registrar already has records that clash with the new ones, Menuthere lists them. Delete them, or the domain keeps pointing at the old site.
- While the status says Waiting on DNS, the screen also shows what the domain points at right now.
- HTTPS (the padlock) is set up for you when the domain connects.
- Remove stops the domain serving your store. Customers with the old link then need your Menuthere address.
