Record how an order was paid
Orders paid on delivery or at the counter start as unpaid. Press the payment badge in the list, or Set on the order, and choose Cash, UPI or Card. The order is marked Paid and your reports show how the money came in.

Record a payment
Step 1: Find the payment badge
In the Orders list the Payment column shows COD for an order the customer pays on delivery. Orders paid online show Prepaid.

Step 2: Choose how it was paid
Press the COD badge. The menu asks How was it paid? with Cash, UPI and Card. Pick one. The order is marked paid and the badge reads, for example, COD · UPI.
Step 3: Or set it on the order
On the order, the Payment card shows Paid or Pending, the Amount due and the Method. If it says Not recorded, press Set. Press Change to correct a method.
What the badges mean
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Prepaid | The customer paid online. You cannot change the method from the list. |
| COD | Pay on delivery or on pickup, and no method recorded yet. |
| Payment due | A dine-in order placed on a store that asks payment after the order is complete. The order card shows a red Payment due until the customer pays online or you mark it paid. See Payment options for each order type. |
| COD · UPI, COD · Card, COD · Cash | Paid in person, with the method you recorded. |
| COD · UPI · Cash | The rider collected part of the bill in cash and part was paid online. The order shows the split under Payment. |
| Cash, UPI, Card, Not selected | Orders rung up on the POS show the method billed. |
