Dishes priced at the counter
Switch on Price as per Size / Custom for a dish that has no fixed price, such as fish sold by weight. It shows on your menu without an Add button, and your counter staff type the price when billing it.

How it works
Open a dish and find Pricing options. Switch on Price as per Size / Custom. The switch says "Prompt for price when adding to cart". Save the dish. You don't need a Base Price for it.
| Where | What happens |
|---|---|
| Customer menu | The dish shows "Price as per size" or "As per size" in place of a price, and has no Add button. Customers can read about it but can't order it online. |
| POS at the counter | Pressing the dish opens Enter price. Staff type the price once. It is reused for the rest of that bill, and the line reads, for example, "Fresh pomfret (₹650)". |
| Dish form | The Base Price isn't needed when this switch is on. |
Questions
Can customers order these dishes online?
No. The dish is visible, but the Add button is hidden because there is no price to add.
Is the typed price remembered?
Only for the current bill. The POS asks for the price again on the next bill.
Is this the same as Delivery Price?
No. A delivery price is a fixed second price. This setting leaves the price open. See Delivery prices and tax-inclusive prices.
