Table booking (reservations)
Table booking lets a guest choose Dine-in on your menu and book a table slot for a later date and time. You set the open days, the time slots and how much notice you need. It is different from ordering at a table QR, which is for guests already seated.

Set up table booking
Step 1: Switch on Dine-in
Open Settings → Ordering → Order types and switch on Dine-in. Its note reads “Customers book a table ahead from your menu, at the times set in Prebooking.”
Step 2: Turn on prebooking for Dine-in
Open Settings → Ordering → Prebooking settings, choose the Dine-in half at the top and switch on Enable Prebooking for Dine-in.
Step 3: Set your open days and time slots
Pick the Open days, then add Table time slots with a start and end time. Press Add slot for a second one, such as lunch and dinner. Set Earliest booking time, how far ahead guests can book, and whether to Ask number of people. Then press Save.
What the guest does
- Dine-in appears next to Delivery and Takeaway on your menu, labelled Book a table.
- At checkout the guest chooses a date and slot from the times you set. If you switch on Make table booking optional, they see a Book a table slot choice and can order without booking.
- Their order page shows a Table reservation with the date, time and number of people.
- You get a push notification one hour before and again when the slot starts, such as “Table booking in 1 hour”.
