Connect Stripe (outside India)
Stores outside India connect their own Stripe account by pasting its secret key. Customers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on Stripe's checkout page, and the money goes straight to your Stripe balance. Menuthere takes no commission.

Connect Stripe
Step 1: Open the Online payment page
Go to Settings → Payments & tax → Payment Methods, turn on Online payment and press Configure. If your store's country is outside India you land on the Stripe card.
Step 2: Copy your secret key from Stripe
In your Stripe dashboard open Developers → API keys, reveal the Secret key and copy it. A live secret key starts with sk_live_.
Step 3: Paste the key and choose the currency
Paste it into Secret key. Pick the Currency to match your menu prices. The key is stored encrypted and never shown again. Menuthere also adds a webhook in your Stripe account so payments confirm instantly.

Step 4: Save and turn on
Press Save and turn on. You see "Stripe is on. Customers can pay online." The card then shows Connected with the last four characters of the key.
What the page checks for you
- If you paste the Publishable key (it starts with pk_), the page asks for the Secret key instead.
- A key that isn't a secret or restricted key shows a warning. A test key shows "This is a test key, no real money will be taken."
- For a restricted key, give it Write access to Checkout Sessions and Webhook Endpoints.
- Wallets at checkout shows Google Pay and Apple Pay as On, Waiting or Off. Turn them on in Stripe under Stripe → Settings → Payment methods.
- Disconnect Stripe deletes your key from Menuthere and switches online payment off. Payments already taken stay in your Stripe account.
