Stack discounts or keep them apart
Two switches decide how deals combine. One decides whether more than one discount can apply to a single bill. The other decides whether a discount can be used on a cart that holds an item on offer. By default, one discount per bill, and never both a discount and an offer.

The two switches
Step 1: Open the settings
Go to Promotions → Discounts and press Settings. The screen is called Discount settings.
Step 2: Allow multiple discounts on one order
Off: one discount per bill, and adding another replaces it. On: discounts stack and subtract together, at the counter POS and in online checkout. Use it when several auto-applied deals should all apply, like a free item per size.
Step 3: Never mix discounts with offers
On, which is the starting setting: a discount is refused whenever the cart holds any item on offer, so the customer gets a discount or an offer, never both. Off: they stack, and a discount also comes off an item that is already at its offer price.
| Multiple discounts | Never mix with offers | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Off | On | One discount per bill. No discount if the cart has an offer item. This is the starting setup. |
| On | On | Several discounts can stack, but none apply to a cart with an offer item. |
| Off | Off | One discount per bill, which can sit on top of offer prices. |
| On | Off | Everything stacks. |
How stacked deals add up
- Money-off discounts stack together but cannot take more off than the items they apply to are worth.
- A free item is a separate line, so adding another free item never reduces what the customer pays for their own items.
- The setting reaches both online checkout and the POS. The POS bills menu prices and does not apply offer prices.
- Each save shows a short message, such as “Multiple discounts allowed” or “Discounts blocked on carts with offers”.
