Connect your container
Step 1: Find your container ID
In Google Tag Manager, open your container. The ID looks like GTM-XXXXXXX. It is not a G-… Analytics ID or an AW-… Ads ID.
Step 2: Switch it on and paste the ID
Open Settings → Integrations → Google Tag Manager. Switch on Use Google Tag Manager and paste the ID into Container ID. Then press the Save button.
Step 3: Test your tags
Open your store and check your tags fire in Tag Manager's preview mode. Changes can take about a minute to appear on your store.
Events your store sends
Your store pushes these events in the standard Google Analytics 4 ecommerce format, so your own tags can forward them to GA4, Meta Pixel or Google Ads.
