Connect Moyasar (Saudi Arabia)

Stores in Saudi Arabia can connect their own Moyasar account by pasting its secret key. Customers pay with mada, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or STC Pay on Moyasar's payment page, and the money goes straight to your Moyasar balance. Menuthere takes no commission.

Connect Moyasar

Step 1: Open the Online payment page

Go to Settings → Payments & tax → Payment Methods, turn on Online payment and press Configure. When your store's country is Saudi Arabia, the page shows Payment gateway with Moyasar and Stripe. Moyasar is picked.

Step 2: Copy your secret key from Moyasar

In your Moyasar dashboard open Settings → API Keys and copy the Secret key. A live secret key starts with sk_live_.

Step 3: Paste the key and choose the currency

Paste it into Secret key. Check the Currency matches your menu prices (SAR for most stores). The key is stored encrypted and never shown again.

Step 4: Save and turn on

Press Save and turn on. Menuthere checks the key with Moyasar first. You see "Moyasar is on. Customers can pay online." The card then shows Connected with the last four characters of the key.

What customers see

At checkout the customer chooses to pay online and places the order. Moyasar's payment page opens with the amount of the order.
They pay with mada, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or STC Pay, as your Moyasar account has them switched on. Moyasar handles 3-D Secure.
Moyasar sends them back to your store and the order shows as paid. If they press back on Moyasar's page, the payment is cancelled and their cart is still there.
Payments confirm instantly. If a customer closes the page after paying, the order is marked paid within two minutes.
Dine-in orders paid after the meal can be paid through Moyasar too. See Payment options for each order type.

What the page checks for you

If you paste the Publishable key (it starts with pk_), the page asks for the Secret key instead.
A key Moyasar doesn't accept is refused with Moyasar's reason. A test key shows "This is a test key — no real money will be taken."
Currency offers SAR, AED, BHD, KWD, QAR and USD. Any currency other than SAR needs multi-currency switched on by Moyasar for your account.
Online payment needs an order of at least 1.00 in your currency.
Replace key lets you paste a new key. Disconnect Moyasar deletes your key and switches online payment off. Payments already taken stay in your Moyasar account.

Good to knowMoyasar is for stores in Saudi Arabia. If your country shows wrongly, use the Not in (your country)? Change country link at the bottom of the card. Moyasar's own fees apply and payouts follow your Moyasar schedule. You can pick Stripe instead on the same page.

Questions

Does Menuthere take a fee on Moyasar payments?

No. Payments are made on your own Moyasar account, Moyasar's fees are yours as usual, and Menuthere adds no fee.

Can I use Stripe instead?

Yes. Pick Stripe under Payment gateway. Only one gateway is live at a time. See Connect Stripe.

Why don't customers see Apple Pay or STC Pay?

The payment page offers the methods your Moyasar account has switched on. Ask Moyasar to turn them on for your account. Apple Pay shows only on Safari, iPhone or Mac with a card in Apple Wallet.

Can I test before taking real money?

Yes. Paste your sk_test_ key and pay with Moyasar's test cards. Switch to your sk_live_ key with Replace key when you are ready.
