Stop orders from outside the restaurant
Geo-lock asks a guest for their phone's location when they open checkout from a table QR. The order goes through only if they are within the distance you set from your map pin. Guests who are not at your restaurant cannot place it.

Turn on geo-lock
Step 1: Pin your restaurant on the map
Geo-lock measures from your map pin. Set it under Settings → Store details → Address first. Until a pin exists, the switch stays off and a note tells you to set the location.
Step 2: Switch on Geo-lock table orders
Open Settings → Ordering → Checkout settings and switch on Geo-lock table orders.
Step 3: Choose the allowed distance, then save
Pick 100 m, 200 m, 500 m or 1 km under Allowed distance. 200 m is the starting choice. Choose a larger distance if your pin is not exact or the venue is big. Then press Save.
What the guest sees
| Notice title | Why the guest sees it |
|---|---|
| Confirming you’re at the restaurant | The phone is still working out where the guest is. |
| You’re not at (your store name) | Their location is outside the allowed distance. |
| Allow location to place this order | They blocked location for the site. They must allow it in the browser settings. |
| Turn on precise location | The phone shared only an approximate position. |
| Couldn’t get your location | Location is off, or the page opened inside another app. Chrome or Safari works better. |
