Take payment, split the bill and pay later in the POS

Tap Cash, Card or UPI and place the bill, or press Pay / split to take one bill in several ways and see the change. Pay later puts the bill on a customer's tab, and Send bill on WhatsApp opens WhatsApp with the bill ready to send.

Which payment buttons show

  • In a Menuthere store, the buttons follow Settings → POS → Payment methods in your dashboard.
  • Otherwise India shows Cash, UPI and Card, and every other country shows Cash and Card.
  • Settings › Till › Pre-select Cash on every bill picks Cash for each new bill.
  • A bill of 0 goes through as cash without asking.

Split a payment and give change

Step 1: Open Pay / split

Press Pay / split under the bill (or Pay, CHARGE or Part, depending on your layout). It shows To pay and a row for each payment method.

Step 2: Enter the amounts

Type what each method pays, or press Rest for what is left, or All Cash (or All Card, All UPI). The line says Paid in full, still to pay or more than the bill.

Step 3: Give change

When cash is part of it, type the Cash received or tap Exact or a note. Change shows what to give back.

Step 4: Settle

Press Settle. The parts must add up to the bill exactly.

Pay later (tabs)

Step 1: Put it on a tab

Press Pay later (Classic: Due). Type the Customer name and Phone; both are needed. Print the KOT for the kitchen and Print the bill for the customer are ticked to start with. Press Put on tab.

Step 2: Collect later

Open tabs show as Tabs · N, oldest first, with how long each has waited. Open one and press Settle when the customer pays.

The printed bill says PAY LATER - NOT PAID. A tab reaches your dashboard and reports only once it is settled.

Send the bill on WhatsApp

After a bill with a phone number, press Send bill on WhatsApp, or press WhatsApp on any bill in Orders. WhatsApp opens with the bill written out; press Send there. Without a country code, your store's is added. It needs the internet.

Questions

Which method is recorded for a split bill?
Each part is kept, and the bill's payment method is the biggest part. Shift and report totals count each part separately.
Can I take a refund?
There is no refund screen. A manager can cancel the bill from Orders; open the drawer with the reason Refund to hand the cash back.
