Open or close your store (accepting orders)
The Open or Closed pill in the dashboard header is your master switch. Press it to stop taking orders at once, and press it again to start. It saves the moment you press it, and your menu stays visible to customers.

Close and reopen the store
Step 1: Press the pill in the header
It reads Open with a green dot, or Closed. Press it to flip it. On a phone it shows as a dot and a word. There is nothing to save.
Step 2: Check the closed strip
While you are closed, an amber strip sits under the header. The Dashboard card says Switched off.
Step 3: Reopen when you're ready
Press Reopen store in the strip, or press the pill again. Your storefront takes orders again straight away.
How it works with your working hours
| Pill | Working hours | Customers can order? |
|---|---|---|
| Open | No schedule, or inside your hours | Yes. |
| Open | Outside your hours or in a break | No. They see when you open next. With Prebooking on, they can still pre-order. |
| Closed | Anything | No. The closed notice says you are not taking orders. |
Good to knowThe switch beats your hours: a closed pill keeps the store shut even inside opening time. It also stops pre-orders. To close on a schedule instead, set Working hours and breaks.
Questions
What do customers see when I'm closed?
A Closed right now notice. If you used the pill, it says your store is not taking orders and to check back later. If your hours closed it, it shows when you open next. They can still browse the menu, and they can call you if your phone number is set.
Does it close delivery only?
No. The pill closes every order type. To limit delivery or takeaway to some hours, see Delivery and takeaway hours.
