When a customer is outside your area
A customer whose address is past your delivery radius or outside your zones can't place a delivery order. Checkout says so, names the areas you do deliver to when you use zones, and offers Change address or Switch to takeaway.

What the customer sees
Step 1: The address picker refuses the pin
When a customer drops a pin past your radius, they are told how far it is and how far you deliver. With zones, they are told which areas you deliver to.
Step 2: Checkout shows a notice
If the address is already saved, checkout shows We can't deliver to this address, or Delivery not available in the standard checkout. With zones, it adds a line such as "We deliver to Old Town and Riverside." The order button stays blocked.
Step 3: The customer picks a way forward
Change address reopens the address list. Switch to takeaway moves the order to collection, offered whenever you have takeaway switched on.
The rules behind it
| Setting | Who is blocked | Message |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery Radius | Addresses farther than the Maximum delivery distance | Delivery is not available to your location. |
| Custom Boundary | Addresses outside every zone that is switched on | We don't deliver to this area yet. |
| Delivery Radius, with Shiprocket | Not blocked when Shiprocket returns a quote for the address | None. The order goes ahead. |
