Tell customers about an offer on WhatsApp
Once you publish an offer or create a discount, Menuthere can draft a WhatsApp message about it for you. You choose who receives it and when, and the message goes out from your own WhatsApp number. WhatsApp must approve the message first.

Send a broadcast
Step 1: Start from the offer or discount
Press Create broadcast at the top of Promotions → Offers or Promotions → Discounts. For one deal, press the megaphone on an offer, or Tell customers on WhatsApp on a discount. After you publish an offer, or create a discount, a small prompt asks whether to announce it.
Step 2: Write the message
The composer has four steps: Message, Buttons, Audience and Schedule. For an offer or discount, the message is drafted for you, with the dish photo for an offer. Edit the words. You can add a photo with Add a photo (optional).
Step 3: Add a button, choose the audience
A button can be a Link button to your menu or a Reply button that starts a chat. You can add up to two, and only one kind per message. Under Who gets it pick My customers, Upload a file or Add manually.
Step 4: Choose when it goes out
Choose As soon as it's approved or Schedule a time. A scheduled time must be at least 5 minutes from now. If you have more than one WhatsApp number, Send from lets you pick one. Then send it.
What the customer gets
- Meta, which runs WhatsApp, has to approve the message first. This usually takes about 5 minutes and sometimes up to 24 hours. A message that breaks Meta's rules can be rejected. Check its status under WhatsApp → Broadcasts.
- Broadcasts go out from your own WhatsApp number and have a cost per message. See What WhatsApp messages cost.
