Add a zone by its name
Step 1: Switch to Custom Boundary
Open Settings → Ordering → Delivery settings and set Delivery area to Custom Boundary. The search box appears above the map.
Step 2: Search for the area
Type the area into the box that says Add an area by name, for example Al Sadd or Business Bay, and press Find. Use at least two letters.
Step 3: Pick the right result
Press the result you want. Its outline is drawn on the map as a new zone with the area's name. The zone can have up to 150 corners, so very detailed borders are simplified to fit.
Step 4: Adjust and save
Rename the zone by typing in its row, drag a corner to move it, or press Redraw to start its shape again. Add more areas the same way, then press Save.
If an area isn't found or won't save
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| No outline found for the name you typed | Try the district's own name, or draw the area on the map. Places that exist only as a point on OpenStreetMap have no outline to add. |
| Couldn't search right now | Try again in a moment, or draw the area on the map. |
| A zone needs at least 3 points | Tap the map to add corners until the shape closes. |
| A zone has too many points | A zone holds up to 150 corners. Remove some points. |
| A zone's outline crosses itself | Move a point to untangle the outline. |
