Delivery prices and tax-inclusive prices
A dish can have a separate Delivery Price, for example to cover packaging. A dish can also be marked Tax Inclusive, so its price already contains GST or VAT and the tax isn't added again at checkout.

Delivery Price
Delivery Price sits beside Base Price on the dish form. Its box says "Same as base" until you fill it in.
| What you enter | Price on delivery orders | Price on takeaway and dine-in |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing | The base price | The base price |
| A delivery price of ₹150 on a ₹130 dish | ₹150 | ₹130 |
| 0 | The base price. A 0 counts as not set, so a dish never goes out free by accident. | The base price |
Tax Inclusive
Under Pricing options, Tax Inclusive is described as "Price already includes GST/VAT". The tax rate itself is set in Settings → Payments & tax. See Tax, GST and VAT.
| Dish price | Tax rate | Tax Inclusive off | Tax Inclusive on |
|---|---|---|---|
| ₹100 | 5% | ₹5 tax is added at checkout. The customer pays ₹105. | The ₹100 already includes the tax. The tax part is about ₹4.76 and the customer pays ₹100. |
| ₹210 | 5% | ₹10.50 is added. The customer pays ₹220.50. | The tax part is ₹10 and the customer pays ₹210. |
A bill can mix both kinds of dish. Menuthere adds tax on the dishes without the mark and takes the tax out of the price of the dishes with it. At checkout, when every dish is tax inclusive, the bill shows a row GST (included) (or VAT (included)) with the tax inside the prices. It is for information and is not added to the total.
