Charge for the return trip
Double the delivery charge pays your rider for the ride back as well as the ride out. A ₹40 charge becomes ₹80. It doubles the charge, not the distance, and it applies to your own pricing only. Porter and Rapido fares are never doubled.

The switch and what it does
In Settings → Ordering → Delivery settings, switch on Double the delivery charge. The line under it shows your own example, such as ₹40 becoming ₹80. Press Save. The switch is hidden while customers book their own couriers.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What is doubled? | The delivery charge your own pricing produces: flat fee, base plus per km, price band or zone charge. |
| Is the distance doubled? | No. A ₹13 charge for a 1 km band becomes ₹26. It isn't re-priced as a 2 km trip, which would land in a different band. |
| Are Porter and Rapido fares doubled? | Never. A live quote is the real fare for the real trip. |
| Are Shiprocket quotes doubled? | No. Only your own pricing is doubled. |
| How does it combine with free delivery? | The charge is doubled first, then a free or reduced delivery rule is applied to the result. |
| Does the map show it? | Yes. The map notes that your prices include the ride back. |
Good to knowSwitching this on raises prices for every delivery that uses your own pricing, so check the map afterwards. See See what each distance costs.
Questions
Does the customer see that the charge is doubled?
No. They see one delivery charge on the bill. The doubling happens before they see it.
Why use it?
A rider who has to ride back to your store is paid for both legs. Doubling the charge covers that without changing your price table.
