The restaurant profit margin calculator works out your net margin for one month. Type your sales, food and labor cost, rent and other costs, and the share of sales that comes through delivery apps. It shows your margin before commission, after it, and if those orders came through your own ordering page instead.

Work out your margin
Open the restaurant profit margin calculator. It is free, needs no sign-up and works on a phone.
Step 1: Enter one month
Under 1. Sales and prime cost pick the Currency and type Sales a month, Food and drink cost and Labor cost as a share of sales. Under 2. Other costs a month type Rent and occupancy and Everything else. Example numbers are filled in to start.
Step 2: Add your delivery apps
Under 3. Delivery apps type the Share of sales through apps, the Average app commission and the Card fee on a direct online order.
Step 3: Read and copy the result
Your net margin shows Prime cost, Before delivery apps, With delivery apps and Same orders, ordered direct. Under Compare with US restaurants pick Table service or Quick service to see the US medians. Press Copy the numbers to paste them anywhere.
